 Guns are illegal in NYC

And if you get caught with one, theres mandatory jail time......Remember Plaxico Burress?

Did you read the first post in the thread CG?

Let's see...... I read this.

[bluebox=:32uuww58]Its a lot easier to shoot a person to death than stab one to death... And you can't stab a person from long distances, so

Your argument sucks Fred[/bluebox:32uuww58]

Freds arguments do suck and I don't have to agree with a commentary to appreciate the subject being broached

Okay, let's forget the past what are your views? Speak freely and clearly and I will be fair.

I believe in gun rights- of course not for the reason most of you do..I'm not afraid of home intruders, I don't think there are bad guys behind every bush, or that every black kid in 5 points asking me for my spare change is about to pull a knife or a gun and demand it, but for the reasons they are in our constitution. To keep the government in check..To keep the authorities in check..If the military is turned (those retards just follow orders) on the us, or if the police are turned on us like they have so many other times in the history of the world..We can fight back and kill some of them, and maybe hold our ground. Its part of our checks and balances here in America...

But, Cheers to Bob Costas going out on a limb like that by speaking his mind

This statement by you was ambiguous at best. You seem to be for each side of the debate. Costas maybe had me until that last statement. With great power comes great responsibility, many people who watch football (without profiling) drink beer all day and listen to anything someone like costas says. He was DEAD WRONG on his last statement. Those two may or likely would not be alive and that ruined his whole rant. I don't applaud him. He swayed people without using facts. He should have discussed the NFL's issues with guns, there are plenty to talk about. That is something the commissioner could do something about. JMO but I get confused because you seem to be both liberal and conservative sometimes.

A cherry picked study from John Stossel...Is not "The facts" CG....Don't be so nieve

Obviously more guns means more violence just like more bombs mean more explosions

Well, are you for gun control or not? You just switched sides again.

This was blatantly wrong and swaying with no facts at all. ALL OPINION. That is what I object to. It's been tried in Chicago and DC. And I don't see it getting better there.

[bluebox=:27z30ouk]"Our current gun culture," Whitlock wrote, "ensures that more and more domestic disputes will end in the ultimate tragedy and that more convenience-store confrontations over loud music coming from a car will leave more teenage boys bloodied and dead."

"Handguns do not enhance our safety. They exacerbate our flaws, tempt us to escalate arguments, and bait us into embracing confrontation rather than avoiding it. In the coming days, Jovan Belcher’s actions, and their possible connection to football will be analyzed. Who knows?"

"But here," wrote Jason Whitlock," is what I believe. If Jovan Belcher didn’t possess a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today."[/bluebox:27z30ouk]
