Yes he back peddled a little but he did it so discretly hardly anyone noticed...He needs to completely to own it. Or we are just gonna keep talkin about it
Ordinary Americans can not get semi-auto guns without background checks delivered to their homes. Why should I apoligize for the truth?
If you really think you can do this LEGALLY, go for it. Costas, like too many reporters, only took certain information without revealing all the facts.

Fred, youre basically a good guy, but you got problems. Youre full of misinformation and you cling to it like a cockroach on a ritz cracker. Theres hope for you, if you just werent so godam insecure. You can survive being wrong occiasionaly, trust me
Its not that bad
I have some mental exercises I'd like you to try- PM me

The original mail order gun delivery before 1968 was much more permissive than what is allowed now.
And I don't know what you are talking about with a private conduit avoiding background checks. I know a firearms manufacturer that was shut down by the ATF for doing what you are saying.
I included a link to a private forum auction site that facilitates the sales between private individuals that do not require a FFL.
You misunderstood. The website connects you with a local FFL that will handle the purchase but you will still need to do a background check. This is normally called a transfer. You buy the gun and have it shipped to the FFL, then the FFL charges you a fee to handle the transfer and does the background check. Only then do you recieve the weapon.
I did a transfer just a couple weeks ago. Bought the gun off gunbroker.com, had it sent to a local FFL, passed my background check, paid my fee and took it home.

But Fred, you are of course aware that private sellers are not covered under federal firearm laws, and that they are not required to do background checks or possess or require FFL if they are selling instate? So Mr. Costas was correct in that it is possible to acquire a semiautomatic weapon through the mail, particularly if you are purchasing within the state that you are taking delivery and that state does not prohibit that action, which most states do not? Hmm?

Legally I think you could do a person to person sale by mail. But it must be super rare or they would legislate against it. Most private sales are face to face.

Costas did nothing but point out the futility of a "gun culture"... He said NOTHING about 2nd Amendment; gun-control, gun laws or anything else that the gun-nuts are all torque'd about... And he certainly said nothing to be fired for. He had an opinion as a journalist and he expressed it.
Williams, on the other hand, has nothing but his foul mouth, disrespect and a failing music career...
