"I'm proud of you," Biden said, according to his office's Twitter account, revealing that the vice president had called the ranger to thank her for her service.

If the Gubment is going to shutdown and the Dumbocrats want to stick it to the public then gut programs like food stamps, the ObamaPhone, and Medicare. Closing a public memorial on the premise that NPS officers can't be there to ensure public safety is pure BS, the NPS doesn't staff the WWII memorial 24/7.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

An almost 200K a year man (Rep. Randy Neugebauer ) told a park ranger who makes what? 30-40K a year - that she should be ashamed for doing a part of her job he made her do because he was too overpaid to fulfill his duties?

Sounds about right.

I'm not going to say that the problem isn't on both sides of the aisle, 2014 and 2016 should be interesting election years. What I'm after in the instance of the WWII memorial is the invention of reasons to close it in the name of a "Gubment shutdown" that is hardly anything but a total shutdown. Not everyone cares about the men and women who served, fought and died for our freedom in WWII, I do and to deny them access to a memorial in their honor is criminal in my mind especially when the only issue at hand is for Barry and Harry to wield their power over the citizens that elected them in the first place.

If the Gubment is going to shutdown then shut the entire Gubment down, no DoD or DHS protecting us, no Federal Gubment spending beyond their means and printing more money to "cover" the new expenses. Hell, shutting down the giant pig that is the Federal Gubment for a couple of day should save a great deal of money, at least until it starts back up again.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Nice to see that what goes around comes around, and the phony knuckle-draggin' Faux-Patriot TeaPublican who had the guts to try to stand out there and do a "photo-op" on a Park Ranger enforcing the jive-@ss STUPID law that HE VOTED FOR, is going to be taken down a peg or two:

Ethics Complaint Filed Against Neugebauer [/url]

Today, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics against Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) for conduct that reflects discreditably upon the House. Footage captured by NBC Washington on October 2, 2013, a day after the government shutdown began, shows Rep. Neugebauer nastily confronting a park ranger outside the National World War II Memorial. The congressman was angry the memorial had been closed, apparently oblivious to the consequences of his and his colleagues' refusal to fund government operations. "Rep. Neugebauer's mistreatment of a federal employee who was doing her job is disgraceful," said CREW Executive Director Melanie Sloan. "The blame for the government shutdown and the resulting closure of the memorials lies squarely on the shoulders of lawmakers like Rep. Neugebauer who refuse to fund our government."

Goodness gracious... you sound jealous. If it makes you feel any better the congressman would have treated you the same way.

Hope that helps?

Typical conservative BS. The park ranger was not "stopping" the veterans, she was waiting to escort the Honor Flight veterans into the memorial which while it was closed to the general public was open for those veterans. At least until the grandstanding republican congressman playing up to the cameras interfered with the visit to the memorial by the veterans.

Do you know how absurd it is that we are even discussing this? This is the big problem? The handling of stupid war memorials? Why even entertain this for a single second!?

WHO CARES!?

I was at an airport the other day and FOX news was on the TV and they were talking about Michele Bachman saving the day by cutting down the yellow tape and ushering in the 99 year old war vetrans, cause they just had to see the memorial on that day.. lol Then the woman in the studio actually said "and it appears that Democrats are actually enjoy'ing turning back the war hero's".... :rofllol wow...then the reporter came back with "yes they are"... :rofllol I couldnt believe what I was hearing, it was so stupid and contrived that I thought this could never possibly work, I thought that the American people aren't stupid enough to actually make this an issue are they? Well...Then...Just like clockwork here comes OtisStupidWater outraged about the war memorial situation, and then people respond as if its a legitimate issue....

How incredibly easy some of us are to minipulate-
