If the Gubment is going to shutdown and the Dumbocrats want to stick it to the public then gut programs like food stamps, the ObamaPhone, and Medicare. Closing a public memorial on the premise that NPS officers can't be there to ensure public safety is pure BS, the NPS doesn't staff the WWII memorial 24/7.

Typical conservative BS. The park ranger was not "stopping" the veterans, she was waiting to escort the Honor Flight veterans into the memorial which while it was closed to the general public was open for those veterans. At least until the grandstanding republican congressman playing up to the cameras interfered with the visit to the memorial by the veterans.

LOL. The ministry of Truth has spoken. If you carried any more water you would be a super tanker.

As opposed to just the continuous spread of lies by yourself?

NBC: Police Remove Vietnam War Veterans at Memorial Wall

Via William Jacobson, NBC's affiliate in Washington, D.C. reports that police ordered tourists and Vietnam war veterans who were visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall to leave the memorial at one point on Friday.

After one group of veterans went around the barricade, "the park ranger told them the wall was closed," NBC's Mark Seagraves reported. "Later another group of vets showed up and moved the barricades. At that point, the memorial filled with vets and tourists. That's when police came and moved everyone out."

I remember when I went on strike in 1985..I was making 38k a year but the Chicago Tribune said I was making 110k...Then I started hearing people everywhere repeat the lie

History...It always repeats itself

I bet one manager of Park Rangers who worked 2 shifts (17 hours) a day for 365 days of the year last year made 120K

This congress idiot should be kicked out of Congress (along with all the rest of them) for just being stupid. The ranger did a good job of maintaining.

As for Park Ranger pay, If they are a GS 13 with max years, they may be pulling in around 103,000.00. That would be the max per the Gov pay sked that I found for rangers.
