How the legislation was passed in the Congress is precisely why there is currently a Republican majority in the House which was elected to alter or abolish that particular law. For some odd reason many seem to want to overlook that salient point or act as though it doesn't exist. As you appear to be one of these, I think it would be a good idea to ask you why this is.Big Dougy wrote: It passed the house and senate and was upheld by the Supreme Court...Thats how we pass legistlation in this country.
And the negotiations in 2009 went a lot like the negotiations in 2013 are going. Negotiation, for the Democrats, is viewed as agree to do it our way and we'll all get along swimmingly. Unfortunately for Obama and the Democrats, the people elected representatives who promised to alter or abolish the law and Obama has decided he will not negotiate on anything with regards to that law. As a result, we have a deadlock. Now we can continue on with the rest of the government while the (un)Affordable Care Act remains stalemated or we can stalemate the entire federal government while that occurs. Which of those two ends up being chosen is in the hands of Obama, Reid and the rest of the cabal, but there are options for them to choose from.Big Dougy wrote: Its not up for negotiation again? It was negotiated this in the halls of congress and you corporate whores got a huge consession for the corporations you represent...the insurance industry...

If you knew half as much as you think you do you might actually be able to reason once in a while instead of simply emote. I'm a third generation native Coloradoan. My great-uncle, a Monsignor, was the founding editor of the Denver Catholic Register. Another great-uncle, also a Monsignor, was the Pastor at St Francis de Sales for 40 years. The two of them used to stand on the corners and preach against the evils of Mayor Stapleton and the KKK who were the major power brokers in Denver in the 1920's. I'm a Mc and damned proud of it. I'm Colorado born, Colorado bred; and when I die I'll be Colorado dead. I'm not some half baked transplant to this State (for clarification, not all transplants are half baked, only some of them, and I realize that the rest of you got here as quick as you could), I'm a native born, natural born, citizen of it.Big Dougy wrote:
