I see the heading as obvious humor... kinda like the imaginary "war on women". One can either ignore it as silly nonsense, or one could enter the thread and dispute the premise, thereby making the op look silly for bring it up. Kinda like this thread.

So you are saying the the OP subject matter did not occur? Because it did. A leading "journalist" paid by Fox News and using the platform of Fox News during a segment for which he was being paid by Fox News did state that the era of global cooling has begun. The humor is that he and many of the watchers of Fox News obviously believe that statement which wholly unsupported by credible scientific facts. Which is more silly nonsense, that Fox News promotes this kind of crap or that I commented on it?

I just don't think it's logical to say that the admitted personal opinion of Stuart Varney is the blanket opinion of Fox News as your title would suggest. Unlike MSNBC and other networks, there is a diverse group of contributors that are not only conservative but there are many liberals and libertarians as well who don't all fall in line as those on the left would suggest.

I did not see any rebuttal by Fox News of the opinion by the Fox News journalist on his Fox news program. Nor did I see any disclaimer by Fox News that the personal opinion offered by their Fox News journalists on their Fox News programs does not represent the opinion of Fox News.

But then again, I do not watch cable news.

Well if there was a requirement for a rebuttal on both sides of every issue, there would be no news or opinion of any kind in the media. Every media outlet has a slant, cable or otherwise, and every media outlet has opinion that isn't rebutted in every instance.

Have to agree with Rick. I would imagine a bunch of local newscasters were making jokes about "Where is the global warming?" this week in the Midwest. And I doubt any of them were taken to task or did management apoligize for the global warming denials of their anchormen.

Why? Mr. Turner is speaking as a private citizen on a PBS show about events that may occur in 50 years if global warming is not mitigated based on credible scientific evidence. Why is that perspective on a Fox News journalist using his Fox News program to proclaim that the era of global cooling has begun?
