Nope, the original title is truthful and factual. Fox news journalist on his Fox news program seriously stated that the era of global cooling has begun. Varney is a representative of Fox News and was acting with his capacity of a representative of Fox News.FredHayek wrote: So this thread needs to be retitled, "Stuart Varney, in a laughing aside, proclaims the era of global cooling has begun."?

So when Ed Schultz called Laura Ingram a "talk slut" and Martin Brashir said Palin should be force fed shit, they were just representing the views of MSNBC? Thanks for clearing that up.Something the Dog Said wrote:

Your talking point people misled you again Dog. Stuart Varney is a pundit not a journalist. If you actually watched Fox instead of having it strained through Media Matters you would know this.Something the Dog Said wrote:

Which is the point I believe STDS is trying to make. I seriously doubt if he thinks that Fox News' official position was stated by Stuart Varney - a reasonably astute financial pundit, but also fairly ill-informed about other subjects. Other posters here from the other side of the aisle have posted headlines making jumps of logic that are just as ridiculous and there's no way to drive a point home like giving it right back.Nobody that matters wrote:

And MSNBC's official position is that there is only one black person in the entire republican party.
This could go a long way, considering some of the truly stupid sh!t that all newscasters say when they're ad-libbing.

Or, STDS is playing the part of someone that can't tell banter from news in order to win a skermish in the long running, overdone, played out war between liberals and conservatives that's plaguing and ruining all the local forums.

I think you just nailed the answer as long as those doing the slamming are willing to put the mud down for a second and have the courage to listen to opposing views instead of bashing then hiding behind the ignore feature. It does seem like things may be improving and I will do my best to keep my attitude in check for the new year.towermonkey wrote:
Yep. I get tired of it as well. There are a few here who enjoy debate without the BS. I've actually had good discussions with some of the more obnoxious posters by simply ignoring the slams and debating the meat.
