Keystone XL to raise gas prices in Colorado significantly

FredHayek wrote: Dog's campaign to keep Colorado gasoline cheaper scored a major win today. Per 710KNUS the Canadian government has approved a pipeline through the Canadian Rockies while America's president is still examining data about Keystone. So Colorado will save a dime per gallon! Of course American construction workers might be able to find work in British Columbia. (So is it Obama's fault that these jobs are being exported?)

Here is a link to the actual report by the NYT.

The Canadian Prime Minster made it very clear that the intent of either pipeline is to increase the cost of gas and oil in the US, and that either pipeline is intended to reduce supplies to the US and increase supplies to China.
That must make you very happy Fred, decreasing domestic gas supplies in the US.

Also it looks like opposition to the Canadian pipeline is even more fierce in Canada than opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline in the US.

So Canada's main intent is to screw the US and help out China? Just like Obama! Your presumptions Dog are so strange some times. Too much time spent reading Mother Jones?

It is not my presumptions, it is the facts as stated by the Canadian Prime Minister. I realize facts are strange things to you, but those are the facts.

Trying to expand their base of customers is just a smart diversification move it doesn't necessarily mean you are trying to screw over your largest customer, the United States, but it can be hard for socialists to understand business.

Update: Per Cory Gardner, Keystone XL will be voted on by the Senate Energy group today. :Megaphone: Better stock up on gasoline and Stabil now according to Dog's sources. Energy prices are going through the roof if this passes! :faint:

lol Senator Udall voted no on the Keystone pipeline today. He says we need more time to study it. He is becoming more like President Obama every day, Great Men Of Indecision

:HighFive: Thank you for keeping gas prices low in Colorado!

Poor Fred. doubling back so many times must really be stressing you out. The Canadian PM definitively stated that he wanted to export their oil and gas rather than selling it at a discount to the US. I did not state that he said he wanted to screw over the US, those were your words. Really sad seeing you fall like this.

Good to see today that Sen. Udall was actually allowed to vote on delaying the Keystone pipeline. Normally Harry Reid refuses to let senators vote on things that may hurt them in upcoming elections.

Discount? Your economic illiteracy is showing again Dog. US gets to pay less for Canadian oil because it is cheaper to get to America than across the ocean.

Update: Mary Landrieu's Energy Committee, per Hot Air, approved the Keystone pipeline, will the Senate follow up and approve it too?
And Colorado's Senator Udall wants to fast track natural gas exports. In one way, this would help Colorado's natural gas companies sell to a global market and make more money, but on the down side, the increased competiton for natural gas could raise prices for us.
