Twitter Bans President Trump

His followers decided to move to Parler and other platforms likes MeWe. But then Google and Apple would no longer let you download the Parler App. They said it was due to radical posts on Parler, but many others viewed it as more corporate censorship.

Twitter says they banned the President because he had inspired the attack on the capital. Then why didn't they ban the Gang of Four for supporting the ANTIFA takeovers of police stations and federal courthouses?
Or why haven't they banned Iranian government accounts for supporting violent attacks on Israel?
Or ban Chinese government accounts for spreading lies about Covid-19?

Very selective censorship is a bad precedent to set. If you deny people their soapbox, they might strike out in other ways.

I have no problem with this before social media you had to send snail mail, email, or got to an actual website and I think it is good to go back to this.

Frankly in my eyes too much false information is spread via social media and unlike many, I try and fact check before just throwing a post out there.

Most of these are privately owned so they can make whatever rules they want if that does not please you then don't try and post there. You can always start up your own company but most of the radicals out there are not willing to put their hard-earned cash or trust funds (if they are rich) on the line.

They just want to blame Tech Companies for violating their 1st amendment rights but they are not willing to take the hit if what they post causes problems.

So many people are bullied on these sites not only kids but adults so it is what it is.

If you want to post crap on your own Facebook, Twitter, or whatever account go for it!! Or put your money where your mouth is and make your own and deal with the consequences my guess is you will find very few willing to insure you.

Does that tell you just how terrible the Trump Insurrection was? Perhaps democracy being attacked from within is worse than protesting civil injustice?

And trying to extort and threaten the rest of the country by saying "they might strike out in other ways" is enabling a petulant toddler. These "parler patriots" need to wake up to reality and realize they've been duped by both the radical right wing media and Donald.

The market reacts to Jack's ban on President Trump. Twitter stock has fell 12% already this morning. Market capitalization is off 2.5 billion! Will Jack allow the President's account to come back in a modified form?

Amazon is denying their servers to Parler because of violent posts. But there are frequent violent posts on Twitter and Facebook but they don't lose their access to servers. Strange to see uneven standards applied here.
Parler is hoping to find server companies that are more fair. And Parler does shutdown posts that advocate violence. They might be late, but that is going to happen when you gain millions of new users so quickly.

Have you seen some of the messages that were posted on parler? They are disgustingly violent, calling for the execution of Pelosi, lynching Pence, etc.

Remember, parler prides itself on not censoring. Facebook and twitter censor violent content, label misinformation, taking down false videos, etc.

Both Angela Merkel and France's Macron think what Twitter is doing is a bad idea and they don't even have a 1st Amendment like we do.
Parler is too violent? I have seen similar messages on Twitter and Facebook, some from the Left wanting the President to be beheaded and Barron Trump to be sexually assaulted. Twitter and Facebook didn't shut themselves down to stop the Kathy Griffin and Peter Fonda's of the world.

For every action there is a reaction.....KATHY GRIFFIN was ghosted for a long time, she paid for her
stupidity. WORDS HAVE CONSEQUENCES...actions are the consequences....TRUMP has lost his
"bright ,shiny appeal"....$$$$ is the price he is paying....bank loans, endorsements, business deals are
vanishing at a rapid pace....he will be paying vast sums of $$$$ to defend himself after out of office,
SDNY is sitting on his chest, ready to surgically remove his head. IT WILL BE AMUSING TO SEE TRUMP
TWISTING IN THE WIND.
