I am still trying to figure out why President Trump did this. Some speculate that he wanted to sell the information, but instead of taking the documents, it would be easier to scan and leave them. No one would even know they were gone.
Did he want to destroy them because they showed his administration screw-ups? Just shred them. Might take years before anyone notices they are gone.

He should have done what the Obama administration did. Put them in an old warehouse like Raiders of the Lost Ark. Pledge to slowly go through them to assemble documents for your presidential library but go real slow...so Barack will be gone before the most embarrassing parts of his two terms are released to the general public.

Behind paywall......In Jan 100 docs were received,BUT the FBI was concerned there were more....it took till
Aug to receive ANOTHER 200 or so, ALL CLASSIFIED with varying degrees of concern. DO THE DAMN RESEARCH.......there were MULTIPLE crimes committed by Trump.....end of story.
