Give me examples. You often talk about last trimester abortions, how they can be performed up to birth. Prove that it happens, just as you have described. Show me that women, who have carried a fetus for 39+ weeks, elects to abort their child days prior to giving birth.

No, I don't. Which is why I think the Left should be willing to concede giving up late term abortions to reach a compromise. Over 60% of American voters don't support late term abortions.

It's my understanding that the majority of the extremely rare late term abortions are done for the health of the mother. I don't think that procedure is done as elective surgery to "get rid of the child" as you seem to think.

A former medical assistant testified Thursday that she saw more than 10 babies born alive at the West Philadelphia abortion clinic where she worked for a doctor who is now on trial for murder.

Kareema Cross also saw babies or fetal remains in a toilet, a plastic box and jars.

Cross said Gosnell regularly performed illegal late-term abortions that he routinely recorded as “24.5 weeks.” In Pennsylvania, abortions past 24 weeks are illegal unless the health of the mother is at stake.

Cross graphically described witnessing Gosnell cut the necks of several babies while she worked at the clinic. She recalled being present for more than 10 instances in which babies were delivered alive by patients given abortion drugs.

“Were those babies breathing?” Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore asked.

“Yes,” Cross replied.
And then there was the time a mother gave birth while sitting on the toilet.
“It was swimming a bit,” she said, “basically, trying to get out of the toilet.”

Obviously, that doctor is a criminal. Can you give me examples of women who have elected to abort their fetus the week before their due date? You, and other conservatives on this board, make it seem like late term abortions are common, when in fact, they are not.

Obviously these eight women did. Or do you think that he he kidnapped and forced them to have a late-term abortion?
I am comforted that you agree with me that what he did was criminal, performing a late term abortion. He was charged and convicted of murder of these infants.
