I think it will be a hung jury. Will they re-try the case this year?
If President Trump is convicted, does he have grounds to appeal because the judge is so biased.
Why do you say the judge is biased? What is your reasoning?

If you can't see his bias, you have revealed yours.
Back on topic: it would be interesting to listen in on what the jurors are saying to each other. Very different dynamic from inside the courtroom. Think there is concern that both sides might make jurors lives difficult no matter which way they rule?
Trump fans might target jurors is there is a conviction, but if the President isn't convicted, the jury's homes might be picketed, like the way the Radical Left pickets Supreme Court Justices homes.

The judge’s daughter, Loren Merchan, is president of Authentic Campaigns, a Chicago-based progressive political consulting firm whose top clients include Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who was the lead prosecutor in Trump’s first impeachment trial, and the Senate Majority PAC, a major party fundraiser.

He is a judge in a deep blue state, Democrat governors do not appoint conservative judges. He has donated to President Biden.
Please show me how he is not biased.
He is a judge, sworn to uphold the law. Are you listening - or reading the trial notes - the jury instructions right now? If not, then how do you know he is not biased? Have you been following the trial and seen the rulings he has passed down during testimony?
Are you really so full of Trump Worship Syndrome that you cannot believe that a person can put aside their personal bias to interpret the law objectively? Have you never been on a jury and been faced with the full understanding of the jurist duty to uphold the law?
BTW, Fred, you cannot prove a negative. You need to prove to me, and others on this site, that Judge Merchan is biased. So far, all you've shown is innuendo and rumors - typical for you.
You made the assertion that he is biased, so prove it. Cite your facts.
And Rick - if you are convinced that just because his daughter works for a liberal organization that it somehow spills into bias for Judge Merchan, then you also have to believe that Ginny Thomas has influence over Justice Thomas rulings, as well as Justice Alito's wife and her influence in the way he rules. What say you?
Just one example, If you were being prosecuted and the judge said to your defense attorneys
"are you ready" and then says to the prosecution attorneys "are we ready"
Humm which side is that judge on?

More naive?
I cannot prove he is biased but I can stack up a lot of evidence he is. And higher courts will decide if Merchan was biased by his words and deeds leading up to and including the trial.
So they cannot prove he is biased either but they can throw out the case if they think he is. And that opinion matters much more than yours or mine.
