Thee are services that we, as a society, decided would be good for all of us to have. We pooled out resources and decided that having policemen would probably be best for all. Sounds a little socialistic to me.

No government is in pure form. It's a mix of a little bit of everything.

And many mountain roads were funded privately and toll routes to mining areas and so forth. Sounds very greedy to the left.

Nope... It's fine by me... I don't use them, but if private folks want to fund them, have at it.

If you don't like the public roads, and Interstate highways, don't drive on 'em... Maybe you can drive cross-country to Grandma's house using only the private roads, (and paying the private tolls on them), and stay off the Interstates... I'm good with that.

Let me get this straight- Empathy is now a sneered at leftie emotion? I didn't know emotions had gone partisan. Does someone have a cheat sheet?

Example: Benefits of health care for all.
1) The welfare breeders can keep pooping out kids for us all to support.
2) Illegals can keep burdening our already overly abused systems that they have almost no interest in.
3) The overall population can continue to increase even if birth rates continue to fall.
This could go on nearly endlessly, but ask why the Federal Government must oversee things already being done by charitable organizations. When the Feds show the sort of economic sense displayed by say the Salvation Army, then, and only then, will it gain my support.
And to answer the above questions, emPATHETIC is a leftist thought.

The silent majority will be silent no more.

so...let me get this right...."socialism" by your definition, is good as long as it benefits you, and bad if it benefits someone else? Got it.

It still isn't socialism.

Does that mean that if the NON-welfare middle-class breeders keep popping out kids for us to support (with school taxes and such), that your plan is that *I* shouldn't have to support them? I'm just trying to get a sense of how far this hatred of breeders goes... ?
