Just to set the record straight

Just for the record, I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
There may be a perception that "the community knows about this stuff" but that's not true for me personally.
The only parts I can relate to are:
1. Wayne and "whomever this is about," I honor and admire your health battles and contribute this virtual bowl of hot soup to everyone affected by past or present health issues: ______.
2. As a past mod, I both appreciated how hard the job was, and came to regret the hurt feelings caused by that association, am still trying to cook healing cure for both community and self. Meanwhile very impressed by community wounds and not exempt.

In any event, very much wanting "whomever" to know that not everybody out here knows your business, as I sure don't. And, I've lived here since just about Forever. Part of this may reflect the fact I don't listen unless I think I should, and intentionally download stuff I don't have room in my limited brain for. Some days lately, that results in just about enough cells to breathe in and out (gasp).

No. RAK is the president and BeachRobin is the VP. Ridgewalker is the Treasurer and LoBay is the Secretary. They wanted someone else on the board but he was afraid it might affect his business if it became known that he was a board member at Pinecam, so he declined. I hear [name removed by me at request of the person] is the next heir apparent board member.

you baited right off wayne

Wayne wrote: There have been several court cases recently where employees took their employer to court after having been disciplined for something they posted on Facebook or Twitter. In every case I'm aware of, the employee has won.

Several years ago, one of our fine upstanding residents along the 285 Corridor got so upset with a poster that she sent, or caused to be sent, a number of letters to their employers (at various levels) complaining about them and how they were conducting themselves on Pinecam.

According to her, if you post your opinions on a forum, they are a reflection on your employer and your employer should be notified and expressing your opinions can also cause a boycott of your employer. Letters were also sent to the poster's wife and a Pinecam board member's church and the board member's wife complaining about him.

To me, that's a violation of our basic right to express ourselves. But, I'm interested in what others think about this, in general -- not necessarily this case.

Do you think you have the right to express yourself on a public forum, or do you think your employer has a right to tell you what to post, or how to act, on a forum (or Facebook or Twitter) even though there's no direct connection between your screen name and your employer?

you have lied and distorted and now i will encourage those offline who have decided they are going to take action do whatever they choose to do. i thought by doing online as jmc suggested would be a good thing.

you lose more people for this website by your despicable behavior wayne. you get what you deserve.

I'm late to this thread....but am still shaking my head in amazement. This is a message board mtntrekker.....not some life or death situation where you need to protect the poor ignorant businesses on the 285 corridor from the big bad wolf Wayne. Talk about over reactions. I suspect the businesses here are quite capable of making their own decisions about a simple message board. I cannot fathom anyone "offline" taking any action whatsoever......There are a few posters here that may well scare off some posters, but Wayne is certainly not one of them.

Everything Wayne posted in that post was the truth. It's not baiting. It just caught a nerve the wrong way since you were probably the one who sent the letters. Those letters were very real. There is no lie or distortion there.

It's not often I say this, but I totally agree with you archer. Even though Wayne and I don't agree on a lot of things, I actually get along with him just fine when we are out in public. He is not scaring anyone from this site in my opinion.

yea big lies and distortions towermonkey. i didnt send anything. so thanks for accusing me.

i promise never to mention this site to businesses again. it was a mistake. but at least i understand why so many call wayne a liar and a cheat. i get it.

I never did get the baiting thing. Isn't that just part of discussion? We don't have rules on baiting. LOL. Your own fault if you get hooked.
