You've been listening to too much Frank Gaffney...
Now, just in case this isn’t clear: This protest is not one made or sustained by the Muslim Brotherhood, it’s one that had people from all social classes and religious background in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood only showed up on Tuesday, and even then they were not the majority of people there by a long shot. We tolerated them there since we won’t say no to fellow Egyptians who wanted to stand with us, but neither the Muslims Brotherhood not any of the Opposition leaders have the ability to turn out one tenth of the numbers of Protesters that were in Tahrir on Tuesday. This is a revolution without leaders. Three Million individuals choosing hope instead of fear and braving death on hourly basis to keep their dream of freedom alive. Imagine that.
For once you need to listen to the people on the ground instead of the bat-sh** crazy buffoons on FauxNews.
One can only read into this that the 3 million are representative of the 80 million Egyptian people. Somehow, i doubt it as it is much like any protest anywhere in the world. Those present are united in a cause, but that cause does not always reflect the wish of the people. No matter which side of the fence you wish to stand on this issue, none of us truly knows what the will of the Egyptian majority wishes. You may infer what you wish from a blogger, who has his own agenda and may or may not represent Egyptians as a whole. Not until the majority of Egyptians stand up and make their voices clear can any foreigh entity offer help. Those who do are presumptuous and serving their own interest.
Personally, i think it is dangerous and naive to use one opposition leader (blogger) as being representative of Egypt's will.

This simple statement carries such tremendous weight but for some reason, it does not connect with the current American psyche.
I think half of America thinks Christians are every bit as crazy and hell bent on world domination as the Muslims- this simple statement carries such tremendous weight but for some reason, it does not connect with the current Christian psyche. They actually think people view them as decent people instead of the racist, hoarding, war mongering, angry, intolerent, facist haters that they are. I'm more concerned with the nutcases I see everyday in my country than I am the nutcases in someone elses county. Thats their problem

Wow- Don't you get it? Offer help? Is that before or after we shut off the spiget of cash were giving to Mubarak? Let me break this down for those of you that don't have a clue- This is Mubarak vs the People. ...Mubarak is our puppet-Weve been funding his torture chambers for over 30 years now.
Now were suddenly gonna come to the rescue the Egyptian people?

Are Americans all a bunch of control freaks? Have we no faith in our fellow man? The Egyptians have just as much potential to fend off the Muslims as we, maybe more since they understand and can recognize them.
Let's give the Egyptians a chance to demonstrate that they deserve democracy. Let us stop being doom and gloom prophets. Have faith in what we have demonstrated can be accomplished. No one gave the American colonists a chance in hell of being able to govern themselves.
I would not be so certain that democracy is up to the task of fending off Islam. Islam will continue to grow in the West, in the US much like it has in Europe. Like a cancer it will grow, largely undetected because we are invincible and consequently refuse to get a check up, or even if we get one chose to ignore the symptoms. Then, before you know it, Islam represents a majority. Majority will rule. If you have not lived in a Islamic country, you have no idea of what you are missing.
I've already stated my position on Egyptians and agree that they need to determine the course of their future. Given that they have been at it for over 3000 years (not just 300), I'm sure they will figure it out. The tricky part is who will do the figuring. WIll it be truly all of Egypt, or will it be a select group who will determine what is best for everyone else? That is what is playing out now. A small percentage of the population is vying to impose their will for what is best for the country. Meanwhile, the outside world, like us here take sides because the outcome could well imbalance the status quo and that creates fear.

HIEL!!! Oh sorry, got carried away there
Hey did'nt you guys say that about the Jews 75 years ago? And you know how that worked out for you- You don't wanna go down that road again do you Schultz?

Deflect your adversaries attention away from the important points from the conversation, towards some innocuous point; rather than actually deal with the issue. I'm left wondering, how's that working out for you?

You make a valid point there buddy. 6 days into these riots I was sitting in a hot tub watching tv at the Shangri-La Hotel in Tokyo and lil precious asks me "what do you think about this thing in Egypt honey?". I told her, "I don't know anything about it sweet cheeks", because I didn't. After further review it's the same ole story. We put a ruthless dictator in power and kept him there with torture and murder. We usually get away with that but when the people have nothing and are even starving they rise up and try to get rid of us. It's called Imperilism my friend. Thats were a rich and powerful country controls the wealth, resources and politics of a weaker one. Weve all seen this movie befoe- Were gonna back our guy until it's obvious that he's out, then we'll scramble to find a suitable replacement.
I talked to an Egyptian friend last night- He told me that MOST PEOPLE in Egypt don't want a religious state and that the only reason normal non religious arabs go with Muslims anywhere in the arab world its because they are usually the only alternative to ruthless American backed dictators. It's the lesser of two evils- so our meddeling is empowering the "dreaded muslims" (lol) in the region.
I always gotta laugh when I see radical Christians being terrified of radical Muslims. It's like seeing a dog chase it's tail for an hour. It's idiotic
And P.S.- I crack up everytime I see that little Shultz Video- I must have watched it 8 times now
But, I'm certain that the MB is going to co-opt this rebellion. They, like Hamas are all too frequently willing to jump in to fill the void, once the people create it through their riotous efforts. It's their MO and BO will fall for it, again!

Oh please Chicken Little..What do you f***ing know? Whata a bunch of bulls*** speculation.
Don't worry about the Muslims- they can never take over here and do you know why? We have a a seperation of church and state here in America. You know- That little clause that you radical retarded Christians have been desperately trying to X out of the constitution for the last few years? Now maybe, just maybe you can see why we have that. I don't care if Bailey becomes 51% Muslim- They aren't gonna say Muslim prayers at public school, teach from the Kuran or fly Muslim flags, or have Muslim symbols or displays at the Park County Courthouse. This is a free country, we are free from religious persecution.
