Thanks netdude but I didn't see it as an outburst but an honest assessment of what was done that day and what should have been done.

IN NOVEMBER 2014, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE! DONT BLOW IT!

No problem, netdude, apology accepted.

I was less than explanatory in my post, and for that I apologize.

Let's all work together to understand what went wrong here, and work on preventing that from happening again.

One of my concerns at this point is to prevent hasty/inaccurate analysis from unfairly harming the careers/lives of those who have spent years studying and training for this type of situation. There are already too many victims, let us not add to the toll.

I feel deeply for all those who have been affected, and wish to help in any way that I can.

Very sad.

Not sure what you are saying here. The post before it said

filings of lawsuits and COULD bring fair more money to the victims than a lawsuit. Sen. (R) Minority Leader Cadman, out of C. Spgs.
said that there is governmental immunity, but the government does NOT have MORAL IMMUNITY.......(I believe they are BEGINNING
to see the light......we will wait FURTHER information.

Are you referencing this post? What is the worst about it? You don't think affected homeowners should be compensated when others clearly screwed up?

Hey netdude, glad you are back home. I am sure you will be a tremendous help to others around you. I am sad for so many with losses. Keep a hawk'seye out for smokes.

What exactly do you mean by compensation?
Aren't they being compensate by their insurance company?
What else should they be compensated for?

Have you ever been in a fire? Most insurance doesn't compensate for the destroyed land, just the home and they argue incessantly until the homeowner is willing to take peanuts.

Now homeowners on one road have to cough up a huge amount of money or the fire department won't help them. I hope that means that they can get a credit on their property taxes. Doubt that will happen.

And what about Appel and Lucases. No help for them either, hum?

The whole point being that while it will never be like it was before, getting them to a position somewhat like it was before is the intent.

People screwed up and people died, homes and property were lost.

And doesn't that beat all, you call it being at its worse because they know they screwed up and people got hurt and they are willing to do the right thing.

Becky, I think and hope that my insurance company would pay for the amount of insurance that I had contracted them for.
I would also think that my insurance company and my lawyer would also pursue reimbursement of them funds plus additional funds that my contract didn't cover from the persons that are responsible for my looses.

Example: You run into and total my car. You and your insurance contract is who should be compensating my looses. Not my insurance contract.

Freeze man,
I completely agree with you.
Insurance is the first level of collection for the victims of this fire.
I hope that your insurance company does not impose another level of hardship through this process.
I also believe that it is totally appropriate for an insurance company to seek financial relief from the responsible party.
My only frustration is that their is no absolute admission by anyone as to who IS responsible and so I am frustrated by all the rhetoric here without all of the investigations completed and all the facts are on the table.
My gut tells me there are many responsible but I don't know that for sure and until a thorough investigation can be done......I personally hate to see anyone jump the gun.
If specific people are responsible, don't we want to know that for sure?
I just believe finger pointing is a little early in the game.
