Husband drove from Bailey to Aurora. Said 285 is wet. Same with down the mtn

Trent T 6:30am
Ntc to 470. 285 is wet. 28 degrees in the canyon. Roads are completely dry East of Santa Fe. North turkey creek is icy with a trace layer of snow.

Clif B 6:30am
Happy Monday roads just wet until between willow wisp and pine junction then it's a little dicy 73 is sanded until the truck goes up Blue creek then it gets slickery and foggy only about 1/2 inch in Evergreen

Mike S 6:30am
5:30 AM, just made the drive from Denver to Kings Valley on 470 and 285. The roads were wet but clear going up to Conifer until a few spots where lane recognition was challenging between Windy Point and Aspen Park. A few slick patches along that span as well, definitely slow down and stay watchful. Lots of semis on the road, mostly going slow in the right lane.

Happy Monday, travelers! We got a nick slick coating last night leaving 285 wet in my areas. My report begins at Pine Junction and ends at Golden.

The highway was mainly wet and I didn’t notice icy areas. Myself and other drivers stuck close the speed limit.

Approaching conifer town center, it appeared, we were heading into thick fog; however, it was very light and short-lived. There was no fog in Aspen Park when I passed through.

Roads dry out as you get just past Morrison. The sun is shining in town with just a little bit of clouds rolling in for the next storm. Total travel time from Pine Junction to I-70 and Hwy 6 was 39 minutes.

From Kimberly M at 5am:
4-440am. Pine junction to denver west exit 264. Roads were better than I thought but still just meh overall. Okay lane recognition on the drive but it shifts from right to left lanes depending on where you are. Road looked slick in several places but I never slid. Worst part was post the canyon to 470 to 70. And as always the biggest danger are the other drivers around you. I encountered many middle of the road drivers this morning who weren’t in either or any lane. AWD SUV with snow tires.

Be safe everyone!!

4:30 am PJ to Conifer

Side roads are a bit slick, but not bad.

285 is just wet from PJ to Richmond Hill. Snow packed from Richmond Hill to the 73 exit. The left lane is visible at times. 285 from 73 to the King Soopers exit is wet with intermittent snow pack. I saw a couple of plows going SB.

Drive safe! Have a good day!

Windy pt very icy arid bend headed north bound. Roads aren’t really plowed. No lane recognition aside from tire tracks on lane.

Twain forks bridge very slow. Average 30-35mph due too traffic.

645 —tiny town RTD

Canyon snow covered but is turning too slush

655 reached 470

Kassie G 5:30am
Left at 330a

An hour ago… #1 NTC. #2 285 NTC bridge. #3 Top of the bridge NTC 285. #4 RTD park and ride #5 Morrison exit. Roads were great as I was behind CDOT snowplow throwing sand. 30 mph down the hill but great traction behind the plow which was only throwing sand no blade down. Just saw a wreck notice on pulse point at South Turkey creek.

5:40am, The right lane is plowed from Richmond hill north bound the left lane is snow packed and there is no lane recognition. The snow is coming down in ice crystals.

Trent T 6:10am
N Turkey Creek to 470 to Federal. No plows no road treatment very slick

Lauren A 6:20
615 hy 73 has no lane recognition and is very slick under the snow. Be careful this am!

Stephanie J 6:40am
It’s a beautiful day to stay at home if you can. Left Pine Junction at 5:20 and arrived at Golden at 6:05, then turned around and was back to Conifer by 6:40. Southbound is worse than northbound. Quite a few commuters were behind tandem plows headed into town at 6:25.

As the temp is rising, the snow is getting wetter and accumulating faster. I had more issues getting traction southbound with the heavier snow coming down and zero lane recognition.

Be safe, travelers!

Kristin E 7am
Left Richmond Hill at 5:55am and took an hour to get to C470 & Kipling. Snowing heavy the whole way. Saw lots of plows but 285 and C470 are not great. Take it slow if you must go out.

Maleah M 7:06am & 7:15am
Richmond Hill to C470. Not plowed mostly right lane able to see the road was driving about 40 miles an hour. C470 is getting plowed now.

For anyone traveling to Denver by C470 to 6th roads are a little slushy but end up clearing up soon as you get onto 6th. From Kings Valley to Downtown Denver took 50 minutes.

Jess I 7:24am
Ok friends…. Here’s the deal NB. Bailey to pine was fine with snow packed roads. One lane wagon tracks. Richmond hill through conifer RTD is basically blizzard conditions, with gusting winds between like twin forks anc the canyon. Canyon is slippery. SB canyon might be stopped due to stuck vehicles.
