Hell yeah my father in law was purchasing the wood for us. It was a nice house warming gift. No pun intended.. That has nothing to do with my issues with you. I do laugh when I think of the*****************************I have abandoned all ill will towards you for that. Though I find it funny that you think i am spineless because i wont come over and beat the sh** out of an old man with health issues!! I may be small but that dosnt mean I cant woop your ass. And no, I am not going to fight you! So no need to tell me to bring it on or whatever comeback you are going to throw at me. The only issue I have with you is your holier than thou attitude and your degrading insults towards those that disagree or have a different view point. If I was part of the tea party group that you are I would sure ask you to tone it down a little.

I don't suppose it ever occurred to nmysys that the reason he gets attacked is because of what he posts. He is trying to make the argument that his posts are totally reasonable stuff.....the left attacks....then he responds in kind. Nice try nmysys, but that isn't the way it is and I'm quite sure you know that. And I disagree about intelligent discussion here....there have been plenty of interesting and intelligent discussions here between right and left....and they stay that way until someone takes it personal and attacks.....this happens from both sides, but not all the time as you claim. Try posting less inflammatory articles, or at least give your own opinions rather than the usual copy-paste rhetoric, and see if you don't get more reasoned responses.

Nmysys may not be the spokesperson for TP, but he sure is not representing them or himself very well. He freely admits he is trolling, so why would anyone on 285 take him seriously on anything he posts or says in person? This "he is only this way online" line is a seriously cheap cop out. If he is not representing TP in the way that it wants, it's time for someone to do it instead of him. You can say he's not a spokesman for TP all you want, but as long as he posts on 285, he is THE spokesperson. If he would stop playing the victim whenever he needs to get out of something he has posted and stop lashing out at anyone with a different POV by being nasty online, his message might reach some of the people it seems like he wants to. Instead, his attitude and BS has given many posters on here all the ammo they need to dismiss the TP as an angry white male fantasy...

People who want no part of the Tea Party or what it stands for are the ones who made Nmysys the defacto spokesperson.

If it helps; Nmysys you are fired as the official 285 tea party spokeman. Please turn in your official spokesperson robe.

The only manner by which that can be done is to intentionally misrepresent anecdotal evidence as empirical evidence - something fanatical partisans of all stripes are accomplished at doing.

And you can't take a person's online persona and equate that with the person themselves - as tempted as we all are to do just that. Take LJ for instance. Her comments here are quite nasty much of the time, but she is quite a different person when you meet her. She is actually very personable, likeable and someone you are always pleased to see. She and I don't agree on the time of day here, and she has actually been quite nasty to me personally from time to time in the forum - and I to her to be fair; but I know that is her politics talking, not my friend and neighbor who would literally give me the shirt off her back if I were in need of it. She can slur me with any manner of name calling here - Sovereign Citizen seems to be her current favorite - and I know the next time I see her I will get a smile and a hug. Ascribe the phenomena to whatever you wish Soulshiner - it exists.
