That is what I feel turns people away from attending.

Ok, I'll say it as plain as I can. Anyone that thinks Nym represents the normal person at a tea party meeting is an idiot, and has fallen hook line and sinker for his trolling. Pull out the hook out of your cheek before he reels you in and puts you on his creel.

As I said, I'm not the spokesperson for anyone but me... Nmysys presumes to be the spokesperson for the TP, whether he is or not. Twisted logic won't make it otherwise.

A vocal member, maybe - but I've never seen anywhere that he's claimed to speak for the group.

You're projecting.

I am fully aware that he is not the norm at tea party meetings... My question is why hasnt one of the "normal" members come on here and told him to shut the hell up? Why hasn't anyone from the group told him that if he wants to continue to be the voice for the 285 tea party that he need to portray a better image for the group?

Remember this is a message board and it is 8 in the morning. I am sure someone will as soon as they are aware.

Why hasn't any union member told VL to shut up? Talk about a rotten spokesman... unless all union members are like him, and he's an accurate representation.

No union members have spoken up at this point. Therefore I can only conclude that all Union members stand firmly behind all the views that VL has ever presented.

And all musicians are pro-gun.

HEARTLESS wrote: SC, my apologies if it seemed my question of or for was in any way an accusation of you. I didn't remember which was used. Since you said both, I accept that. They do however carry different meaning which is why I asked. The generalized ranting of one Left wing batsh.. Jerk, seem more like a written hemorrhoid always bringing out the best in others. Again, I'm sorry if it came out as an accusation SC.

Apology accepted, no hard feelings Heartless!

Honestly, I was more surprised that neither you nor neptune, or anyone else who attended and posts here, stood up to dispel the incorrect way that Nmysys was portraying me. I'm a big girl and I can defend myself, but what he said crossed the line and was categorically, and absolutely, untrue. I've never in any way tried to hurt the Tea Party, I've attended and listened respectfully, and tried my best to post the information as I heard it in order to help (and for the first time at this past meeting, I took my laptop so I could type it in as it happened and not make mistakes copying from written notes like I'd done previously). I was given permission to post in the Tea Party forum because I met the requirement, even though I'm the owner and could've posted in there anytime I wanted, I didn't until I asked if it was okay that I did. I posted the meeting minutes in there in an attempt to get people using the forum - it's just been sitting there unused, not fulfilling any potential whatsoever.

Honestly, I know that Nmysys has been dealing with a lot lately, but that doesn't excuse his behavior. I've tried only to be a friend, help him with his cause, and get to know him better and this is not acceptable treatment in return. Obviously, he is one of those types of people who can't separate their political feelings/beliefs with their personal relationships with others who don't always agree, and that's a shame. I wish him well in his journey, from now on it will be without my participation or assistance.

Maybe a local union member should. Just as I think it would be a smart idea for the LOCAL tea party to try and clean up it's image and ask nmysys to chill. Just as I think the Dems need to get a candidate to run against Obama in 2012. Just as I think the righties need to get a clue.. It just is really bad marketing to have a very vocal member of your local party out verbally attacking people on a public message board and not have one person come out and condemn it. I would think if you are trying to push an agenda and start a movement you would want as amny people as you can to feel like they were joining something positive and strong. Power in numbers
