If its the Republican economy, can we fire Obama, Reid, Pelosi, nix Obamacare, and re-write the tax code?

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

and let them run the country over the cliff?.....I sincerely hope not. They will try, and may even accomplish it, but it won't be without a fight.

My point was it can't be the Republican economy yet without a majority control. Its a rudderless ship with a weak leader.

I think we are already over the cliff, gravity just hasn't kicked in yet. Its like in the Roadrunner coyote cartoon, where he looks down and then falls. LOL :)

My opinion on 1937 is I have no idea, wasn't born yet and what does it have to do with 2011? Viking is ok, he is just passionate about his own beliefs. I don't agree with him on everything, I am my own thinker. Outside the box!

I'll break it down for ya...FDR brought us out of the great depression in 1930 with massive spending and job programs...After seven years of spending everyone was worried about our debt so we slowed spending and imeadiatly spiraled into a deep recession..They realised it was a mistake started spending again and we came back..

It's history Joe..There's a reason you need to know it. We don't want to keep making the same stupid mistakes..Understand?

VL, relax and have a beer. Like my friends from NY and CA tell me, its over, we are all beaten down, just enjoy what is left of the USA before it crumbles. Not much we peasants can do about it.

And Europe has their own problems, they don't have a reserve currency and Bernakes Infinite Printing press.

Vice Lord wrote: What you arm chair economists fail to grasp is that Corporate America is sittin on 2 1/2 trillion dollars right now, they don't need a tax break so they could sit on 3. They are not hiring or investing if they currently have the capacity to meet all the demands of all the consumer.. They don't need more cash to invest, what they need is more demand for their product, what they need is people spending money- We the people need more money and by decreasing spending, cutting jobs and attacking unions with the Bills you forced on us you Terrorists just put us into a depression, and we won't forget it.

Yes, and this proves that it's theirs now:

American Millionaires: 1,400 Paid No U.S. Income Taxes In 2009

New tax data from the Internal Revenue service shows that in 2009, incomes fell, unemployment claims rose, and the U.S. economy shed nearly two million taxpayers.

And of the 235,413 taxpayers who earned $1 million or more in 2009, 1,470 of them paid no taxes.

According to the data, the average income for American taxpayers fell to $54,283 -- a drop of $3,516, or about 6.1 percent, between 2008 and 2009. Not only that, but the overall number of taxpayers -- that is, individuals or married couples filing with the IRS -- fell by almost two million.

"What you're seeing is the devastation of the massive loss of jobs and the effects of the real recession on real Americans," said Ed Kleinbard, a law professor at the University of Southern California.

The numbers, part of a package analyzing 2009 tax returns that the IRS has just made available, reflect a grim picture of the recent past.
