Rick Perry will anounce Saturday in SC that he is running.

And Perry is right about one thing... Texas is the leader in minimum-wage job creation... How many burger flipper and taco-stuffing jobs do you think Texas needs?

Saw an editorial cartoon in the Post today where someone thought Perry was "W".
I have to agree. I would love for the actual fiscal conservatives and social libertarians to do better in the primaries like Gary Johnson but it looks like the social conservatives and big spenders like Perry are leading.

Saw this on Today I Learned (TIL) on Reddit:

Rick Perry graduated from college with a 2.2 GPA.

And the college was Texas A&M.

Not exactly the most academically demanding school in the world.

Only two ways to get grades that low at a place like that.....

You either have to be a dim bulb totally uninterested in learning anything, or else party till you puke.

What did Obama graduate from college with? What courses did he take?

So many people don't vote for someone for president, they vote against someone else. So although I don't like Perry right now, I would vote for him over Barack Obama today.

"TX, which crafts a budget every two years, was facing a $6.6 billion shortfall for its 2010-2011 fiscal years. It plugged nearly all of that deficit with $6.4 billion in Recovery Act money.. Even as Perry requested the Recovery Act money, he railed against it. On the very SAME day he asked for the funds, he set up a petition titled 'No Government Bailouts.'"

There's this new thing called "Google" where you can look stuff up without having to ask others...

For the record, I didn't mention what courses Perry took, but if you must know he took animal husbandry (good practice for dealing with the GOP).

Obama attended Columbia University in New York City, where he majored in political science with a specialty in international relations and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1983. I'm guessing the courses had to do with political science. :Whistle

He later graduated from Harvard Law School in 1991 with a J.D. magna cum laude. His courses probably had to do with law. Magna cum Laude GPA is 3.65 - 3.79, depending on the college or university, according to what I Googled.

How many Aggies does it take to screw in a light bulb?

One, but he gets 3 hours credit.

Judging from the candidates the GOP has running for president...I don't think being intelligent is a prerequisite. All a potential GOP needs is to proclaim a belief in God, sign a pledge not to raise taxes, and hate Obama. They will take any idiot that comes along with good hair

Of course it isn't. This is, after all, the same party that has elevated a C-grade actor with Alzheimers to the level of a genuis.
