Rick Perry will anounce Saturday in SC that he is running.

It's not necessarily a "cult that will vote for President Obama no matter what he does or fails to do...", so much as it is a cult of refusing to vote for anything the bat-sh*t-crazy GOP puts out there. I'm not happy with Obama either. I expected a MUCH more progressive candidate, and what I got was "Bush-Lite"... But I'm continually fascinated by those who think because some of us are unhappy that Obama is not far enough to the left, that somehow that translates into some fantasy that we would vote for any of the people who are crawling all over each other to see how far right they can get....

...Or who would think we would somehow "sit this one out." I'll vote again for Obama, because the alternatives are too horrible to think about.

I'd almost like the opposition to win the next one just to see what they would do. Personally, I think the economic recovery is going to be a long, slow road and nobody has a magic bullet to fix it. (is that a mixed metaphor?)

Right now, I'd vote for "None of the above," but it's still early.

Is there any doubt what they would do? They've been doing it for 30 years. They'd continue pushing policies that will squeeze the middle class, further beggar the working and lower classes, and scrape off all they can for the wealthy.

I am sure you won't, along with about 20% of the voting population but with allies like this you need to put on your thinking caps.

Obama spent Tuesday here in Peosta squirreled away in rural economic forums; he said afterward that they talked about such things as cows grazing next to solar panels and “helping farms manage manure in creative ways.”

Yeah, that's a lot stupider than threatening the Fed Chairman with physical violence...or wishing Elvis Presley 'Happy Birthday' on the anniversary of his death, or suggesting that the Revolutionary War started in Lexington and Concord--New Hampshire...or warning the British by "ringin' those bells'...

It appears that Texas has added about 300,000 government payroll jobs since Perry became Governor.
