And the fact that visitors coming Up the mtn don't wanna go over there either, KS is easier for them to navigate.
OK, not to criticize people but seriously? I grew up 50 miles from any big stores. It was 6 miles just to the little local grocery that had just a few products. And we spent weeks canning foods to make it throught he winter. And previous generations had to ride horses miles into towns to get food. And now people have changed so much and are so spoiled that people complain that they have to 'drive' their air conditioned car an extra 30 seconds over an overpass to get to a store. What has happened to Americans?

Where is the decay and vandalism? Haven't heard about that
It SAYS SUBJECT TO.
Didn't say it is currently happening.
OK, so now I am trying to figure out what part of the KS center is empty? Just the part that Big R is about to fill and one space next to the Chinese place. I think they are pretty full. Why is everyone up here so negative about everything anymore? Is no one happy in the foothills? What a miserable life to always complain about every business and project and development and the people. I am so glad I don't have that life. I will always look for the good in everything in my community. I know certain people on here just love to bitch about everything and she makes it very obvious. What a sad life.
Kings Valley is what Wayne is refering to.
Not the King Sooper center.
And we live 40 minutes from anywhere soo...
we like it that way that is 1 of the reasons we moved here.
There are alot of small businesses that we distribute our $$ to, don't see what the greatness of a Big R box store is. Move to the city if you want to have all of those. The mtns was built by mom and pop operations.
Conifer Hardware carried ammo, and many years before sold a few guns. Pushed out by a box store that folded wihin a couple years.

Sorry, wasn't talking about you Martin. LJ and a couple others seem to love to bitch about everything in our community no matter what it is. That is why I am not on here as much. Too many negative people who have no life. And I misread. Thought it said KS as that is what we were talking about. And KV will be adding tenants in the next 6 months or so from what I have heard. We will see. Good to have more jobs up here. Saves the fuel driving down the hill. Less traffic, less accidents, more employed, more homes saved, values go back up.
Viking, where do you see that she's bitching? I see her trying to actively take a positive role in the community - far more than many actually do. She kept everyone updated on mail-in ballots for the rec center vote, called officials about it, did this below:

I signed up to speak at the JeffCo board meeting... I spoke anyway...and he was right...I was wasting my time. It had already been decided.
If you think the board is too negative, then post positive stuff yourself - this board is what people put on it: don't be reactive, but proactive.

Just had to save this one for future laughs. Not sure what you are on but you are one of the only ones who think that. LJ..... Positive? :rofl rofllol That just cost you some credibility with many people.

You really don't remember LJ fighting for information on the proposed rec district? That sounds like fighting for the community. LJ also gave an example of taking time to go to a meeting to speak up against that eyesore of a strip mall and Kings Valley. Do you not think that is taking a positive interest in the community?

To one person it's bitching; to another, it's telling it like it is. How we perceive statements written on a community forum board is even more subjective and subject to error than discussing face-to-face. If people give me less credit for having a more open mind and being willing to listen and consider opposing viewpoints, trying to understand why they believe what they believe rather than merely judging them for their views, then they aren't the type of people whose opinion I give a rat's @$$ about anyway. And you can take that however you like.
Now, are you gonna start posting more positive stuff here to improve the board or keep bitching yourself?
