What the Corridor REALLY Needs is Another Shopping Center

Talk to anyone who has been to a zoning hearing. They hardly even look up at the private citizens. How long have you lived here viking? Did you move up here for convenient shopping? Most of us didn't. i am happy to drive to town for my needs. I don't need two grocery stores, thirty Mexican Restaurants, 12 pizza places and 468 vacant storefronts. If you do, why did you come up here in the first place?

Sheesh, I was in Conifer today and I couldn't even find a Taco Bell! Was I looking in the wrong places, or is there really not a Taco Bell there?

How can it be considered a 'community' without a Taco Bell? There should be one every few blocks! Very close to KFC, of course.

The corridor needs a new shopping center (or 2 or 3) with a Taco Bell!!

Oh, and some of those really bright lights that shine up in the sky to advertise it, so people can find it at night. And lots of BIG used car lots, well lit at all hours, of course.

Oh, and a large recreation district, so folx can brag about how they are providing everything needed to keep the kids occupied, and prevent them from getting fat. Of course, must have transportation to get the kids to the rec centers, it wouldn't do to have them walk somewhere to get exercise.

Of course!

Heaven forbid that anyone would actually have to go to all the effort to make their own tacos - even considering all the 'ready to eat' components that are readily available.

Not to mention the fantastic ambiance available at Taco Bell

It is a great place to meet and socialize with like minded people, and enjoy a truly gourmet meal!

So here is my question. The developments are already built. They are not planning on any more that I know of in te future. So unless you know how to tear them down and build a mountain again, how many years are you all going to keep bitching about the same locations over and over and over and over and over???

Hate to admit it, but I wouldn't mind one. They take up little space and have cheap, fast food which doesn't have to be in huge servings. I think they would do really well here. Del Taco too (one or the other).

But Cruz-inn has good burritos at least (bigger, better and more expensive than Taco Bell). But no tacos and the other stuff.

I have not eaten at a Toxic in over a decade. It may taste good initially, but two hours later, no amount of tums will settle anything down.
