What the Corridor REALLY Needs is Another Shopping Center

I know this....

1) I don't remember how long the K&G at the KV center has been open, but I know I have not spent a nickel there...and will never do so. (I've gone back to Conifer a couple of times on fumes rather than buy a nickel's worth of gas.)
2) I don't care if they open a Money Store there and give away free $20 bills... I will not spend a minute's worth of time giving any business that opens there my patronage.
3) I will, to the best of my ability, encourage friends & neighbors to do like-wise...

Maybe I can't get it torn down...But I plan to do my best to bankrupt the bastards that built it, and hopefully ensure that they never get the bright idea again to scrape off anything else in the 285 area...

Remember the idiots that tore down the Red Rooster to build.....a BOWLING ALLEY?!? Now, there was a well-researched, well thought out marketing plan...

This post just shows what a pathetic POS loser and waste of human you are! You don't give a sh** about anyone but yourself. And you wonder why you are so miserable? And don't say you aren't. You are a vile hate filled 'person' who tried to bankrupt businesses and put people out of work and tell others to do it too? Well I am glad that you are the smallest of minorities in this country. One who will always put themselves first. You are NOT a good neighbor nor the type of person we need in this community. You are sick in the head and most everyone knows it. You will always want to CHANGE everything including yourself. You will NEVER be happy with anything in this world. What a sad life. And THIS is why I stay off of this site. It just pisses people off to see a person with so much hatred for everyone other than themselves. I would never tell people to try and bankrupt a business and cause others to become unemployed. Enjoy your misery you pathetic waste of skin!

sorry viking, but that post says more about your need for anger management than it does about LJ. Standing up for what you believe is as American as it gets. Perhaps if more people up here would do that we could maintain our mountain community the way it was intended. Before you go off on me.....I have no problem with bringing amenities to the mountains, I use many of them myself.....but there is a right way and a wrong way to develop this area, and when we believe that what has been done is wrong, then what recourse is there but to make our displeasure known by voting with our dollars?

I guess Viking doesn't think that we have the right to defend our way of life but must submit to those with more money and more power all our individual rights and privileges. This is to my mind the diametric opposite of conservatism. As a conservative I proudly defend my right to give my money to those who conduct their business within the parameters of my value system. I hire American workers, not illegal aliens, i give preference to small businesses and veteran owned companies. This is my right and if an empty center will dissuade a greedydeveloper from grading flat another lovely elk meadow then I will call that a good thing as I find the Lords creation infinitely more pleasing than a strip mall. That's why I live in Conifer instead of Highlands Ranch. If that is the atmosphere you prefer I beseech you to move there rather than to seek to convert my long term mountain home to more of the same. I have never understood why those who love the suburbs move to rural areas and then seek to drag the burbs up with them.

You stupid jackasses!! Defend our way of life? They have been here for years now and you keep whining and bitching and you all sound pathetic! it's not like you are fighting a new development. So many of us are sick of the same complaints over and over and over and over for years! You can't change what is already here. How clueless are you? And people who WANT others in our community to fail and people to lose jobs are nothing more than a bunch of selfish narcicists! You only care about yourselves. You can't rebuild a mountain. So support our community and our neighbors you self righteous pompus asses! So sick of the selfish whiners in our community who can only look for more to complain about every week. You need a self pity group. And no I would never envy your lives or how wad they seem to be to constantly look for the worst in everything! And I love the mountains and the mountain way of life more than most any of you but I am not going to be miserable every day over something that was built years ago. it does nothing bot take away the happiness from your lives. Enjoy your pity parties!

FYI, I know several people who work at the Kum and GO and need that income to support their families including one that just had a baby. How does your self righteous attitude of not supporting them and telling others not to so they go bankrupt and those neightbors losing a job, help our community? It doesn't. So keep your damn money and move to an area where you will suppor them. Probably California! You have that type of sefish and greedy, me first, attitude! Did I want all of this buiding up here? Probably not but it is here and I am not going to say, screw my neighbors just to prove a point so we have vacant buildings. Anyone who agrees with LJ should move the hell away from here as we don't appreciate people who want to see our neighbors lose jobs. Extremely un-American. But that is to be expected from some of you. I never knew the foothills had so many selfish people who just want to put their needs first. Sad to see, but I will continue to fight for our communitee and our neighbors and their jobs. The rest of you who wnat to only look out for yourselves and bitch about something that was done years ago can move as the majorityof us don't like your type up here!

It seems as there is a handful of people on here who do nothing but bitch weekly if not daily about the area we live in. We a sad and pathetic life to live! If you hate it so much MOVE! We are tired of people who are miserable with everything! Most of us don't want to keep hearing about it! Safeway was built! Get over it! KS was Built! Get over it! Kum and Go was built! Get over it! And support them now that they are here! They won't just disappear! How stupid are you people?

Methinks Viking is either an investor, a partner, or good friends with the a**holes who built the project... How much did you lose?

Keep posting LJ, your credibility has gone the way of the dodo and Odumbo. Helping the community, by trying to bankrupt businesses (another Odumbo trait). I've lived here (Kings Valley) for 27 years now, and it was never an elk meadow during that time. A bunch of dirt mounds used by bmx'ers and motorcyclists, no elk meadow. Briefly an RTD dirt lot, no elk meadow.

The silent majority will be silent no more.
