No need. I learned a while back that you and a few others are nothing but a total waste of time. Have a good weekend.

KMA....you're a rude busy body.

It's taken me 3 F'n years to get to the point I am making decent income. I don't need some two bit nanny milking my social security contributions to tell me to suck it up because I am lucky. I have worked my @$$ off - and then to have the government take (or should I say confiscate) a significant chunk of my income sucks. But don't worry, I will gladly give up my production of dollars to Uncle Sam so he can sprinkle it around the country - in the meantime, I'll continue bust my hump so the government can buy solar panels and invest into a bankrupt laden industry.

She seems to have that effect on a lot of people.

Or a lot of people just don't know how to be happy.

again Viking, what did my post have to do with being socialist/marxist?

You make a good point really. I guess I should have said the socialist agenda....and not used "new". More taxes seems to be a perennial mantra for the socialist minded person.

I'm not sure how smart you have to be to make money. I would say there are some professional athletes that might test that theory. I do feel it comes down to how much you are being taxed and how that money is used. I understand that we must pay some taxes but I'm not okay with paying progressively more and more taxes as the "needs" for that tax money increases.

If you are earning a decent pay check then you ought to be bothered by how much money is coming out of your check. Social Security, Medicare, federal and state taxes. They take a big chunk out of each check and I think it's BS. By the time I'm old enough to use either, Social Security and Medicare will be broke. I feel the federal taxes I pay are often pissed away on a bunch of asinine initiatives.

I DO believe it's your right to pay as much of your income as you wish to. Heck, give em' 75% of your income if you like. I'd like to keep more of my income so I can spend the money the way I wish.

I'd be good with a flat tax. Otherwise, I wish they would leave the rates down though and find ways to use the revenue they do get more wisely.

I DO "make a decent paycheck"...And while I wouldn't mind having a few extra bucks to spend, the taxes I pay are the price I pay to live in a civilized society, and keep my end of the social contract. The fact that the selfish sociopaths think that every dollar they pay is somehow "stolen" from them is sad...predictable...and just proves how devoid of humanity they are.

Yeah, I continually feel like the federal taxes I pay are often pissed away on a bunch of asinine initiatives--like unnecessary wars, no-bid contracts with defense contractors, more weapons systems to bounce-the-rubble in the case of an all-out war, unnecessary military bases all over the world, and vouchers to send some kids to religious schools... (Do we REALLY think war is going to break out in Germany and Japan again?)

If you make enough to be taxed 47%, you're doing it wrong... I don't pay nearly that much, and somehow I doubt that you make more than I do. And if you're making enough to be taxed at 47% and you're that upset about it-- Sux 2 be U...don't it?

How many Taxes can we name, Fed Income, State income, Social Sec., Medicare, State sales tax, License plate tax, taxes on utilizes, gasoline tax, Please feel free to add. Seems the social contract is a little lopsided. And I forgot one close to my heart, liquor tax.

Nice deflection... However, (....isn't it about time for someone to repost for the umpteenth time that tiresome list of all the possible taxes, state/fed/local/county, that goes around about once every 2 weeks?...) the federal taxes held out of one's paycheck--which was the subject of the thread--don't include all of those. Of course, on the other hand, remember all of those additional taxes the next time you regurgitate the phony claim that "47% of Americans pay NO taxes"...(federal, of course--but that part is always conveniently omitted)..

Nice cop out....you state something as truth, insulting another poster, this time me, but refuse to back it up.

FYI....I am neither a socialist or a marxist.....I am a liberal, and you have nothing that proves liberals believe in socialism or marxism or communism as another thread alleges. Someday that egotistical ivory tower you have set yourself upon is going to crumble under the weight of your insults and lies.

If you are a salaried employee, you need to learn the trick of adjusting your W4 before a large bonus check. Normally 1 month before. If you overpaid, you will get your $ back in your tax return.

If you're a 1099, make the expenses work for you not Uncle Sam.

But LJ you conveniently left out the Solar Panel industry as to pissing off our taxes. You blame military spending only for some reason.
