Jesse Jackson is a media hound and I have another idea on his motives but if I say what I think I will be accused of being racist. He only cares about himself. And the NRA should be ashamed as well.
Jesse Jackson brags that whenever he was young, and worked in a restaurant, he would spit into white peoples' food.
JJ also has used racial slurs so seems hypocritical to me but in an effort to be fair in my previous remarks, he did go visit victims today. I would not care to meet him except to tell him what i think about his views but others might. I will try my very best not to make too many assumptions. There I said it. All done. I still have not see any mention of Sharpton being there. I have actually agreed with him in the past and I do think he has changed over the years. I have seen no changes in JJ he seems self serving but will try to have an open mind.
Christian Bale did not bring the media, they were called by someone else. I know someone who works in the hospital and they said that he came in low key and alone. They also said that the staff of the hospital had the utmost respect for Bale for his actions. That's why there is only 2 or 3 pictures of Bale in Aurora.

What does this mean and what does it do? Sorry but this is like the dumbest thing I have seen yet. They passed a resolution that they condemn the shooting? I don't get it.
House of Representatives Condemns Theater Shooting, Offers Support
(KCEN) -- U.S. House members on both sides of the aisle have now spoken out on the Colorado movie theater massacre.
Today the House unanimously passed a resolution condemning the shootings in Aurora.
It condemns the shooting and offers the support of the House of Representatives.
Just prior to the voice vote leaders offered their condolences to the victims, survivors and responders to the shooting.
Rep. Cory Gardner of Colorado said, "Today we discuss a resolution that talks about one of our great tragedies and so we join together as a delegation to talk about an event we in Colorado know we will not let remain a tragedy but will turn into remembrance of those who are good in our state and in our country."
Twelve people died and 58 people were wounded in that massacre.
House Support? Maybe tax rebates on gun purchases by everyone who was injured in the theater? ... All 58 of them... (They probably won't make them available to the 12 who died, since they won't be expected to purchase any...)

Glad to hear that. My earlier post about Mr. Bale was with regard to something I had read somewhere else about his "possible" ulterior motives for showing up. I admire him for trying to give comfort, and I hope the survivors got some level of comfort from his visits.
Your signature line sums it all up very nicely, in my opinion (no sarcasm intended). It's happened before, and it will happen again, unfortunately. There's even a thread on this Forum now talking about "massacre fatigue". Really? A long time ago, in Bath, MI, a madman bombed a school in which 40+ men, women, and children died as a result. That tragedy has basically become a footnote in history for most Americans, but not for the descendants. They still suffer from "massacre fatigue" and more than likely will for the rest of their lives. As so often apparently is the case, Americans have increasingly shorter attention spans and want to get "back" to the way things were without having to be "bothered" by news of these types of events. I recently read a quote from an anonymous author, "You will never truly understand something until it actually happens to you." I couldn't agree more. TEACH PEACE!
I don't know who that is either. But I have played that song since I was a girl when I would get upset. I remember listening to it when I lived in that area so many years ago by Aurora Hill Middle school. It is my go to song whenever life is sad.
