At least it looks like a lot of yas are coming up with realistic solutions to the mentally ill getting guns versus regurgitating gun death numbers over and over again. Well put posts.

Conspiracy theory professor says Sandy Hook shooting may not have happened

Outrageous claims made by a professor who specializes in conspiracy theories are set to provoke grieving family by saying that the Sandy Hook massacre may not have happened at all.

James Tracy, a tenured history professor at Florida Atlantic University, wrote a lengthy post on his personal blog saying that the shooting that left 20 children and six teachers dead may not have happened the way that it is widely believed, if it happened at all.

No confiscation? Gov. Cuomo of NY State is looking at seizing hi capacity rifle magazines that had been grandfathered after the last ban.

Despite out of the 769 homicides in New York state last years, only five of them were comitted with assault rifles.

85% of the children in the world killed with guns are in the US? I am sure the child warriors in Africa would dispute your numbers there Raees. Or does your world only include a few select northern European countries?

Probably more children killed by illegal guns in Mexico than legal guns in the US.

No source? _____"...is looking at...."_________ Wow, sure sounds serious to me...

Some people say.......

When you have PROOF for 1) "confiscation"; 2) specifically "RIFLE" high-cap magazines (as opposed to just "high-cap magazines", you let us know. Until then.... :Snooze

The United States leads the world's richest nations in gun deaths -- murders, suicides, and accidental deaths due to guns - according to a study published April 17, 1998 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the International Journal of Epidemiology.

The U.S. was first at 14.24 gun deaths per 100,000 people. Two other countries in the Americas came next. Brazil was second with 12.95, followed by Mexico with 12.69.

So you really weren't talking about the world. And look at Mexico. the most restrictive gun laws in the western hemisphere, so taking the guns away worked so well for them, didn't it.

And LJ? Yahoo news on Gov. Cuomo, quite possibly the Dem nominee for 2016.

Mexico is a different animal. It's full of corruption. Many in the government are protecting the drug lords who are the main source of gun violence.

How come you don't mention Canada (or the UK or Australia)? How many gun deaths did they have there?
