What? I think that was a cartoon. Do you know something I don't?
Still the fact remains that the actions of the administration show just how petty and stupid they are. What if the gov shut down and no one noticed. That is a nightmare for the left.
The American people and the military veterans and those serving know that it is not just the Republicians that have caused this. This is both sides fault. Primarily Bonehead and reid. Neither one of them are worth a penny. The teaparty hasn't helped either. A lot of folks I talk to believe this will impact both parties. I would like to see all of them removed and a whole new Congress in place. Won't happen though. To many out there that just do not pay attention to what is really going on. They would rather play the blame game like Congress is doing now.
I don't know Bob, but I seriously doubt Obama called someone and told them to barricade public memorials. I would think that when the government was shut down there is a list of non essential services and those employees that monitor/are assigned to these memorials were furloughed, and barriers were put up because there was no staff to maintain and protect them. Just my take on it, it's a logical explanation.
Latest scuttlebutt on Twitter is that Obama has been ready to agree to a compromise a couple times but Harry Reid has vetoed it both times.

I use Twitter, and yes I knew that. However, putting your name on it doesn't make what you tweet truth, except to those who are easily fooled. Twitter is just another form of social media, it's not news, it's not verified before being tweeted, and quite often when people in government tweet it's intended to sway public opinion not deliver information. Apparently it works, at least for readers like you.
If you thought the "official" news was always true, you are very naive. Like the coach who resigns to spend more time with his family. That is the official story, but the truth is that he was fired for a losing record.
Do you really expect the POTUS to say to the American public: "I was going to sign a deal with the Republicans but Harry Reid wouldn't let me."?
That would make him appear more wimpy than when Putin eats his lunch.

I wasn't aware that there was "official news". What would that be? I take everything I read, hear or see with a healthy dose of skepticism, then base my opinion on multiple sources......but I will admit that Twitter isn't one of them, nor is Facebook.
