I don't know if "en-mass" is going to happen, but more going to work at the Hospital Conglomerates for assembly line medicine on salary, and the rest in private concierge practice, monthly memberships and cash payments. Acceleration of an ongoing trend. Just a guess.

There are a bunch of little noted time bombs built into Obamacare that the media never analyzes.

One is the section 1341 1342 1343 risk adjustment/corridor stuff http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Patient_P ... e_D/Part_V that is partly funded and temporary- some potential unknown unbudgeted risks for tax payers. Premium stabilization for now but expires in 2-3 years

Another is the narrow provider networks in many states and counties. And too high rates in rural counties.

Another is the 90 day grace period, only 30 days the responsibility of the insurance company if you stop paying your premium your policy is good for 90 days. The providers get stuck with the last 60 days of bills.

Another is the big expansion of medicaid with limited providers accepting it.

Another is the claw back of tax subsides if you predict your 2014 family household income incorrectly - payback time April 2015

Another is the medicaid estate recovery laws for over 55-ers dumped into medicaid automatically.

Another is the 55-65 age group premiums are defined as unaffordable (8%MAGI) and will be unaffordable for many couples around $62K and up. 46K for singles.

Obamacare marriage penalty, cheaper to live together. 62K vs 2x46K subsidy threshold

Taxes and Fees on Healthcare adding to costs another 5% probably

etc, etc, etc There is plenty more great stuff coming to lo fo voters soon. :) Enjoy!

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

There's a lot of things "hidden" in the ACA that is going to make the roll out look like a piker by comparison. This is only the beginning. Try this on for size.

End of rant, back to being a ruled obedient subject of the USSA (with a cancelled Kaiser Permanente insurance plan) Thanks Obama!

I have a cancelled kaiser plan too after 11 years and very happy with it. I was on the phone most of the day yesterday tying to figure out how to stay in kaiser without having my premium double. I don't even want to look for a different company because I have 5 doctors who I trust and have gotten me through hell.

Did you have any say in who your doctors would be or did you just get lucky?

I can only speak to my experience.....(recent,maybe 3 years or so)There is a Personal
Physician Selection process....you can call membership services for assistance ( or do so
on line).....when I CALLED I was very specific about my needs/perimeters.....the rep then
reviewed the candidates that fell within my perimeters and THEN gave me bio information
which I pulled from the website also.

My FIRST prerequisite....the physician MUST be willing/adaptable to be a PARTNER in my
care and communicate/act accordingly. I am my OWN advocate and I do the research.....

I found a GREAT G.P. (Harvard trained) who believes that "staying as far AWAY from doctors/
drugs/hospitals is MOST advisable"......she has been remarkable in intervening/negotiating the
HMO hassle and has been very co-operative when I request something out of the norm. I am
VERY satisfied, however, it's a concerted EFFORT to hook up with doctors (in KP) who have
that mindset.....this is just my experience, perhaps others have a different POV.....I have had
KP since 1977,ATTEMPT to maintain a healthy weight/body and,for now, it has been relatively
easy working within KP.....JMO

I never picked them and I don't know if they are even the best doctors... I can't judge a profession I'm noot an expert in. But these are people who know me and know every detail of what I've been through and I trust them.

I've made a decision to pay double if I have to in order to keep them. Right now I have guaranteed scans and other monitoring that nobody can guarantee me with another company. Three years down the road if I'm clearly out of the woods, I'll feel much better about losing Kaiser if I had to.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
