Who voted against proposal to keep your insurance?

It's a test...

In September 2010, Senate Republicans brought a resolution to the floor to block implementation of the grandfather rule, warning that it would result in canceled policies and violate President Barack Obama’s promise that people could keep their insurance if they liked it.

“The District of Columbia is an island surrounded by reality. Only in the District of Columbia could you get away with telling the people if you like what you have you can keep it, and then pass regulations six months later that do just the opposite and figure that people are going to ignore it. But common sense is eventually going to prevail in this town and common sense is going to have to prevail on this piece of legislation as well,” Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley said at the time.

“The administration’s own regulations prove this is not the case. Under the grandfathering regulation, according to the White House’s own economic impact analysis, as many as 69 percent of businesses will lose their grandfathered status by 2013 and be forced to buy government-approved plans,” the Iowa Republican said.

On a party line vote, Democrats killed the resolution, which could come back to haunt vulnerable Democrats up for re-election this year.

Did Senator Udall vote to screw his fellow Coloradoans?

Personally I think the larger issue here is the Federal Government regulating the detailed benefits of the insurance plan I choose to purchase. IMO they have no Federal authority to regulate this commerce, even though our wimpy Supreme court gave them a tax loophole pass to do it. End of rant, back to being a ruled obedient subject of the USSA (with a cancelled Kaiser Permanente insurance plan) Thanks Obama!

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

I have a cancelled kaiser plan too after 11 years and very happy with it. I was on the phone most of the day yesterday tying to figure out how to stay in kaiser without having my premium double. I don't even want to look for a different company because I have 5 doctors who I trust and have gotten me through hell.

Rick, LOL.....what did KP say about the cancellation....I am assuming it's an individual policy, NOT group?

Maybe Obama should have said, we are going to replace your plans with something better for a lot more money! And we will subsidize it if you can't afford it.

I've been self employed for 20 years and have only had an individual policy since I was 30... no insuranc before that, I paid cash. I can't get a straight answer from Kaiser because they are still trying to figure out if I can be grandfathered in even though the policy I've been fine with doesn't meet every requirement. I still have bad neuropathy in my feet and hands because of the chemo so I may just go on disability and medicare which means I may still be able to keep kaiser and my doctors but will still be paying as much.

So instead Of being able to be self sufficient working odd jobs while I try to save enough to start another business, I may have to suck off the taxpayers for a while... the last thing I wanted to do. I have paid into SS for 35 years and never expected to see much back, so I don't feel all that guilty about it. I have guarantee PET scans every six months for another two years along with colonoscopys with Kaiser, and I DO NOT want to lose these doctors until I'm out of the woods. So whatever it takes, I'm trying to stay with Kaiser.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
