Impeachment proceedings against Trump

Dershowitz said that Abuse of Power isn't a valid reason for impeachment. And yet, he said the exact opposite in 1998, and he accuses Constitutional scholars of being biased in a partisan manner? That's rich.

Nixon was impeached for Abuse of Power, btw. It never went to a vote, because he resigned, but it was included as a charge.

ROFL! Oh snap, she's got a point.

My favorite evidence that President Trump cared strongly about corruption in Ukraine is the fact that when it came time to hire a Chairman for his own campaign, he picked a guy whose last job was running the political shop for this Ukrainian president: Ukrainians vowed to turn their ex-president’s estate into a ‘Museum of Corruption.’ But it’s something else now. ~Rachel Maddow

Paul Manafort, Former Trump Campaign Chairman, Sentenced To Just Under 4 Years

Unfortunately Paul Manafort cannot respond as he is being held in solitary confinement for a non-violent crime. Wonder why?
Manafort was hired by then candidate Trump in March of 2016 while involved in a Presidential primary campaign. He had no access to any documents relating to the Ukraine that were amassed by the Obama administration. (parenthetically Manafort's partner in dealig with the Ukraine was Tony Podesta brother of John Podesta, the chairman of Clinton's campaign).
Manafort resigned from the Trump campaign in August, 2016, at the request of the candidate Trump, after Trump had access to additional information.
Rachael Maddow somehow left this out of her report.

He was being held in isolation prior to his trial for his own protection since he's a well-known figure. Do you have any documentation that he still as after his conviction? If he is, are you concerned for his well-being and for that of all prisoners held in solitary confinement that you agree we need drastic prison reform in this country?

I don't know why Podesta wasn't charged, he certainly seemed to be in violation of FARA. Perhaps he was granted immunity in exchange for information?

Its very simple. Manafort went to prison because he was associated with Trump and that is enough to send anyone to jail, even a decorated general. Podesta was with the protected class. They don't get prosecuted regardless of the mountains of evidence.

As of nypost.com 6/18/19
"Paul Manafort is holed up in solitary confinement at a Manhattan prison — and he’s expected to remain at the lockup as his mortgage-fraud case plays out, his lawyer and the Department of Justice said Tuesday."
Unless you have new information, he is in solitary confinement.
"If he is, are you concerned for his well-being and for that of all prisoners held in solitary confinement that you agree we need drastic prison reform in this country?"
Straw argument, this is not about the penal system it is about Paul Manafort.
As an aside, I have no sympathy for Nathan Dunlap. Do you? Or would you rather avoid the question?

I believe he’s been moved to some prison in PA. He’s no longer in solitary.

The Aurora shooter has been moved to Pennsylvania, but I have seen no documentation that Paul Manafort has been moved. What is your source?
