She was the longest-serving British prime minister of the 20th century and the first woman to hold that office. A Soviet journalist dubbed her the "Iron Lady", a nickname that became associated with her uncompromising politics and leadership style.

What were the main features of Thatcherism?
As a political-economic philosophy Thatcherism was originally built upon four components: commitment to free enterprise; British nationalism; a plan to strengthen the state by improving efficiency; and a belief in traditional Victorian values especially hard work and civic responsibility.

I would say...a STRONG LEADER, with her priority straight.

I know all about Thatcher because she was a brilliant conservative who warned about socialism. I seriously doubt that if she were alive today that she would have said Harris would be the right person to deal with the border because she is a woman. I'm pretty sure Thatcher believed experience trumps gender in all cases.

We should have no problem with accepting refugees if they are actual regugees. If they are perhaps starving in their home countries or victims of political persecution. How many of these current "refugees" swarming the border fit into that category? From the photos I've seen, not many although you can't see political persecution in a photo. They don't seem to be starving. Most seem well dressed in new shoes and clothes. Many are overweight. And then there's the interviews with the actual refugees that tell the tale. They are coming for jobs. "Biden promised us jobs!". They aren't fleeing hurricanes or any such nonsense. They are coming to get jobs. This is a Biden created crisis in the middle of extreme unemploment in our country. He is promising jobs to migrants instead of putting Americans back to work. Why you ask? Because this isn't a refugee problem. This is a voter drive. He needs the votes so he doesn't have to cheat next time for democrats to win....

As I understand the article...she will act as a liaison and in that role, she will attempt to build a bridge of
communication with the countries that r involved, and attempt a mitigation plan. BUY IN from the
leaders of those countries is really what the job is about.

What does this mean? President Biden will bribe the Mexico and other Central American nations to stop the flow. With big aid packages and maybe pallets of cash like how President Obama bribed Iran. Pesos? Euros? Dollars?

You are right, lots of money being sent and that money will never be enough, there will always be demands for more. This country is seriously under water financially and it's bad enough that we're printing money for ourselves, now we will print it for other countries and our offspring will pay for it forever.

It appears the illegal immigration problem is only going to get worse according to the WSJ today. Apparently there is a giant sucking sound coming from the United States. Since our economy is getting vaccinated faster and returning to normal sooner than the rest of the world, cash is streaming in. America is a safer place to invest than the developing world and Europe. Because of slow vaccination rates in Europe, Italy and France are locking down again. So expect more people to hop the fence in search of jobs, money, and vaccines. Even Canadians are traveling to Florida for jabs. You only need to have an address and many Canadians already own homes in the Sunshine State.

Exactly. Once the precedent has been set, a trillion becomes the new billion. Remember how 5 billion to build the wall was so horribly expensive? There's probably going to be 500 billion in waste alone when this whole disaster is over.
