The only people that believe the riot was an organized attempt to take over the government are the same people who believed Trump colluded with Russia and Trump demande a quid pro quo froim Ukraine and Biden didn't. .

37 indictments, Rick. 37. Conclusive evidence that the Trump campaign was in contact with Russians. Remember Paul Manafort? Remember Konstantin Kilimnik? All the Trump palyers that peaded guilty of lying to investigators? Why did they lie, Rick? Why? Remember when Mueller said "

But sure, keep up with the "phony Russian investigation" lie. It's almost as big a lie as "the election was stolen."

This is just one more worthless investigation designed to distract the sheep from what Democrats are trying doing to this country. If there are any people in this country who feel like the people at the capital were an actual threat to their personal safety or freedom, I'd love to hear their reasoning.

If it wasn't a threat to democracy, then what was it then, Rick? Congress was in session to count the electoral votes. These "tourists" just wanted to watch the process? (that was sarcasm) No, they wanted to stop the count. They wanted to physically hurt the congresspeople that were there to certify the election. Remember the chant "Hang Pence" or their attempts to "Get Nancy?" Remember the pictures where the doors to the chamber were barricaded and security had their guns drawn? What was that, Rick?

For those of you who cannot remember what happened just six months ago, here's a video of the event released by the New York Times:

And suddenly, after being warned not to volunteer, Republicans are volunteered to be on the Select Committee investigating the insurrection. The same ones who voted against investigating the insurrection.

Why would you think that the Republicans don't want their voice to be heard?

Telling is the scroll below the picture which says,"Dem members and Cheney met today to discuss strategy."

Perhaps it was their voting against the investigating committee that gave me that idea. :coolwink:

Believe it or not, it's true.

Only two House Republicans – Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois – voted Wednesday to create a select committee to investigate the deadly January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Would anyone like to wager how many people arrested actually get charged with the crime of insurrection/treason? If our justice system doesn’t prove that more than just a couple people went to the capital to be part of an insurrection, does that mean it will still be an insurrection?

If 100 rioters break into a business but only one person went in with the intent to kill someone, does that mean all 100 are guilty of attempted murder?

Food for thought.

It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers−out of unorthodoxy

There were 10's of thousands of Trump supporters in DC that day. To call it an insurrection is just newspeak.
