i planted kale, radicchio, bok choy about 4 days ago and they are sprouting already and finally my first bean is coming up :) . This is soooo fun!

phonegeek - I have never done it before, so I have no suggestions. What problems did you have? They didn't grow, or you didn't get cukes?

just had my first strawberry from the greenhouse, yum.... and for the last few days big bowls of mesclun lettuce, mache is coming up, basil, arrugula and spinach are ready to pick - LIFE IS GOOD!!!

call Hal 303-808-6946 he delivers the best top soil (composted horse manure) a truck load for $75, I've been using him for years, highly recommend him

its like a mini greenhouse, starting with some kind of a raised bed, then putting a heavy plastic covered frame on top with hinges to open, a friend helped me build it last year. After that I built several more in addition to the greenhouse.
I have lettuce, spinach, arrugula growing already this year and the basil just sprouted (even survived the bitter cold a few nights ago, had it tucked in nice and warm that evening )
