The area that burned is open space there is no mitigation there, so grass burned it will come back better as nutrients were released and trees made it.
Thanks for posting the videos! Tomorrow (Mon.) I plan on going back to my friends house (if there is no snow) and I'll take some pictures from that vantage point looking down. Someone told me just that morning Meyer Ranch had received snow but that the winds had dried the vegatation so fast that the fire was able to start later in the day. True?

True. We had received a little snow the night before. That area gets so much direct sun that all the snow had melted off by the time the incident happened. Scary to think how bad, and how fast, it could have spread if it did not snow the night before. :VeryScared:
