Salida is really nice downtown by the river. Got alot of nice pics from the river, fisherman, kayaks, rafters. Guess I should go to the ahwbound site and post-em there. Water was high and moving fast, but no flooding yet.

Drove to Fairplay and back this AM. Awesome as always. Saw a small herd of antelope drinking at a stream.

A canopy of stars painted against a pale black sky twinkled above and through the silhouetted trees like Christmas lights. Beneath a blanket my love and I talked about the wonderful place we live and promised ourselves many more nights like tonight. Never have I experienced a more perfect evening or felt more connected through the universe.

Very nice RD! Leaving the cookout last night, it was also very well-populated with stars in the sky - I miss that so very much down in the bright city and was grateful for the opportunity to see them once again. One cannot help but leave behind the small issues of the days past when seeing such splendor.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
