Harris Park to Downtown Denver at 6AM. Snowing full trip. 47/43 untouched. ParkCO 285 was snowed over and untreated. JeffCO 285 was alternating wet and snow covered, plowed and treated all the way to 470. Couple of minor slick spots between Windy Point and 470, nothing major but that may have changed. 470 was wet, not slick. 6 was messy as usual but low volume so not bad. Travel time was 1hr - 15mins. Take it easy out there.

Harris bark to burland ball field
Slick all the way! Just passed plows so hopefully soon it gets better!
Please turn on your lights!!!!!!
Hearing reports of freezing drizzle/rain/fog creating black ice in certain area (Shadow Mtn to Black Mtn to Brook Forest turns into straight black ice above the S curves and down by the apartments according to Gina Cannan, at Windy Point per Tricia Hanket McCarthy, and in South Evergreen per Bob Coulter, Jr). Please stay in if you don't have anywhere you have to be, and take it slow and easy if you head out. Plows have been spotted putting down mag chloride, but don't assume they are only wet to be safe.

Highway 285 through Turkey Creek Canyon to Windy Point is hazardous. Roads are extremely slick across @ICFPD with black ice. Slow down and take extra time traveling today and move over for first responders, tow operators, road crews and everyone else on the roads today. Firefighters report treacherous conditions across the 285 corridor

Update from Jayne Elizabeth:
Roads are total crap and slippery in Conifer to King’s valley - from one lead foot to another - it’s not worth it! Go slow!
Traffic is backed up pretty bad before Richmond Hill and all the way down to Shaffer's Crossing. One semi is stuck in the right lane near Richmond, and there's another vehicle reported by eyewitnesses as slid off near Kings Valley. Please take it slow and easy on the way home. Cotrip.org says it's wet, but it's actually snow-packed and icy in many spots.
From Becky Ferguson:
"Just came up 285 from Denver to Conifer. Roads are starting to get snow packed and icy. Already saw one car off the road. Be careful and drive slow!"

Just drove from Highlands Ranch to Shadow Mountain. The snow was starting to stick around N. Turkey Creek and got worse towards Conifer. Roads were somewhat slick, drove 40-45 mph just fine, but can definitely see the roads getting worse as the sun goes down. CDOT was out and about.

Roads are not horrible this morning wet with anti icing liquid, However if your going towards 285 on 43 that hard left just before the school is really slick, careful

My husband just made it from Pine Junction to 285 and Broadway in his usual time. He said roads are doing fairly well.

The drive to DIA was good this morning. Coming down 285 was slick but very drivable as long as you took it slow. Once you got on 470 everything was clear. Much different from last night. Be safe out there.
