#conifer traffic already is backed up at the Richmond Hill exit extending back to around Mountain View. If you are going to drive on the shoulder to exit Richmond Hill pleas slow down. @MyMountainTown

From Katie Allen in the 285 Traveler Group:
Pounding hail and sideways currents of water on 285 from Kennedy Gulch to Indian Hills. Everyone is rolling at about 20 mph. Be careful!!!
Seeing reports in the 285 Traveler group that there are backups at Kenosha Pass both directions, and the top of the pass itself is packed with cars. Please plan extra travel time if heading that way.

Good Morning all, of of 6am, there’s black ice on the roads from pine Junction all the way to Richmond hill. Wet in Conifer. Be careful and safe travels.

It’s not bad at all. The freezing drizzle on the windshield made the drive in a bit more interesting. Make sure your defrost is working good!!!

Ok as of 330 this morning 43 is wet with a little bit of ground fog 285 is wet with freezing rain but roads have been treated also some fog 73 is just wet but its starting to snow in Evergreen
I just drove from Kings Valley to DTC. The road was icy all the way to Morrison, but I did not see any accidents BECAUSE EVERYBODY WAS DRIVING SLOWLY AND RESPONSIBLY! It was great to watch a whole lot of hurried commuters taking it easy because they knew that just driving a 4WD/AWD does not give you any superpowers.
There is now a rollover reported at Richmond Hill (MM233) and another on Crow Hill in Bailey at ~MM223. Please keep driving safe everyone!
Hwy 285 is now closed NB through Turkey Creek Canyon.

Turkey Creek Canyon southbound was a disaster area. Jackknifed semis and cars scattered everywhere. This is Northbound right before C-470. Completely stopped. Lots of cars pulled over heading up the hill.
Not exactly Hwy 285 but close, this message came to us from Michael Lightfoot:
Accident or construction at w. Quincy and South Simms. Avoid the area, backed up in all 4 directions.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
