I agree. He's just a bit misunderstood. And VL, you really do have a point. Memorial Day creates a three-day weekend that a lot of people look forward to so they can relax, have get togethers, travel, etc. I don't think that all the people that have done that are being disrespectful to those that have lost their lives in war. It is just a matter of reality as VL said. I think where people (there were quite a few) took your post badly, was that was all you referred to. That is where perhaps you came off as being insensitive, but it doesn't mean you really were. It was nice that you added what you did. I have lost two family members in war. I don't dwell on it and stay sad the entire holiday, but I do think of them and yet we still enjoy our weekend. There is no reason it can't be both ways. Of course, the amount of time which has passed makes a huge difference. I, myself, VL think you're a good guy and I get you.
