I was, but I got over it. When an idiot speaks you can only pull so much from it then you just let it go.

What do you mean? I am an independent business owner... if that's what you mean.

lol The correct newspeak term is "dependent business owner" making money on the backs of the proletariat whether you have employees or not.

And if you don't have employees, it is your duty to hire some. For a business's only purpose according to BHO is to hire the unemployed and fund goverment.

If you did, did you front the cash to make the purchase and take ownership on your own? If you did then didn't you do that on your own? My point is that new small businesses come from individuals with ideas that may or may not bear the forces of the market, the magic is in finding the combination of price to produce, profit, and cost to consumers.

Once a small business passes the test of providing a service or good at a price that meets with your community's demand it will take flight and of course you will need help, 285Bound is a fine example of that model. Telling small business owners they didn't get there on their own ignores the conception of small businesses and the determination and entrepreneurship of individuals who are willing to take the risk and make the investment to start a small business in the first place.

Everyone in their life gets and gives help to and from others in many ways, and most don't feel the need to toot their horn about it, they just do it. It's Obama's arrogant, condescending attitude towards business, success, and the private sector that is annoying to conservatives. I say "keep doing what you are doing", to quote a famous poster. :)

He fails to realize that without business, there is no government. Without successful risk takers, there is no infrastructure, there are no firemen or police, there is no country. To say that someone can't possibly become successful without the help of others really discounts the fact that some people have worked harder in school, or just worked harder in general to build a thriving business. People who put out more effort should be rewarded and admired, especially if they provide a living for others.

Unless of course the government was to own everything and we all work for equal pay... maybe that's a dream from his father.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Obama is making the case that businessmen owe their success to everyone else, so businessmen owe their wealth to everyone else, and everyone else has a right to the wealth of the businessmen. This is the Obama's rationalization for taking from the wealthy to give to the poor through taxation by the government.

It is the rationalization of a loser.

God, I love your out-of-context bullcrap... It's almost as fun as the never-ending crap about "Obama says he's a muslim"..."Obama apologizes for U.S." ... (All of which have been proven to be out-of-context cutely-edited crap.)

You never disappoint, Arlen... Lying again....

We Don' Need No Steenkin' Context...

Mitt Romney Takes Obama Remark About Business Out Of Context

Mitt Romney on Tuesday seized on a recent remark by President Barack Obama to paint him as anti-business, but he took it out of context.

"If you've got a business, you didn't build that, somebody else made that happen," Obama said Friday.

Speaking Tuesday in Irwin, Pa., Romney called the remark "startling and revealing" and said that it was "extraordinary that a philosophy of that nature would be spoken by a president of the United States.

He ran with the idea. "The idea that Steve Jobs didn’t build Apple, that Henry Ford didn’t build Ford Motors, that Papa John didn’t build Papa Johns, that Ray Kraut didn’t build McDonalds, that Bill Gates didn’t build Microsoft," Romney said. "It's not just foolishness, its insulting to every entrepreneur, every innovator in America and it’s wrong."

But in his reaction to the remark, Romney ignored its original context. When he made the comment in Roanoke, Va. Friday, Obama was arguing that businesses needed infrastructure investment to succeed.

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help," Obama said. "There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

So, what you think is "wrong" you equate to "lying". Can't a person be just wrong? Why demonize/depersonalize those with whom you disagree?
