Obama has been a homophobe most of his life until he wasn't, then was, then wasn't. Silly isn't it?pineinthegrass wrote:

So if that is what you really believe, can we ask if you voted for Clinton and Obama? Just asking, but if you did, then you are a bigot from your own arguement because they disagreed with gay marriage when they ran.
And have you seen any significant case of seperate water fountains for gays, or can you educate us who advocates that?

85-95% of the restaurants are franchises, owned and operated by the local business person. Yes, they have to pay their fees to headquarters, but they own and run the local restaurant.
If you want to boyott Chick-fil-A because of the president's gay marriage beliefs, shouldn't you instead put in a little effort to know what the actual owner of the franchise believes? We've already seen at least one case where the local owner believes differently. Otherwise, why work to kill the local restaurant and cause the loss of jobs?
In a way this reminds me of the liberals that said they'd leave the country if George Bush got elected or re-elected. They were full of crap and never did leave, but they claimed they would give up on the whole country just because of who was the President, not that it should of really mattered all that much.

I would like homosexual marriage to be legal but if you choose to boycott Chick, realize you aren't really hurting the CEO. Currently most of America still wants same sex marriage to be illegal.

Yeah, we're still waiting for Limbaugh to leave...He said he would if the Affordable Health Care Act passed...

First, a new Pew poll finds that public attitudes on same-sex marriage have moved consistently in favor of same-sex marriage:
The survey finds a continuing rise in support for same-sex marriage since 2009. Currently, 45% say they favor allowing gays and lesbians to marry legally while 46% are opposed. In Pew Research surveys conducted in 2010, 42% favored and 48% opposed gay marriage and in 2009, just 37% backed same-sex marriage while 54% were opposed.

Hmmmm... 46% to 45%... Yeah, that doesn't exactly strike me as "most of America"... Maybe "most of right-wing bigot America'... But a 1% difference is hardly "most of America"...And in a few more months I predict it will be the majority in favor of it. But hey, I realize how hard it is to accept that it's not 1889 any more.
