U.S. Debt Per American Under 18 = $218,676
During the time Barack Obama has been president, the U.S. government debt has increased from approximately $143,255 per American under 18 to approximately $218,676 per American under 18--a climb of $75,421 or about 53 percent.

I just read that this morning, staggering! We party and pass the debt on to our kids. Talk about the sins of your fathers. If we could devote 100% of GDP to debt, it would still not balance us out.

And right now the debt is pretty cheap, 1% or less. What happens when it goes to 5%? Debt service will take most of the discretionary budget.

Too bad you guys weren't that worried about it when Bush started TWO unnecessary, unpaid-for wars; instituted $4Trillion in unpaid-for tax-cuts for the wealthy; passed a $700 Billion unpaid-for medicare benefit; and signed a $780 billion TARP bailout to cover his a** when it finally blew up in his face...

Funny, I don't remember your concern then...

I was worried about that. Especially the deal that cut social security taxes on individuals. Hopefully this will be fixed when they sort out Taxageddon.

I am on record as not supporting boots on the ground in either Iraq or Afghanistan.

Which of course is total bullshit. The actual debt per capita is about $43,000, not $218,676. But why stick to the facts when lies make a better outrage.

It is only $43,000? And you are proud of that? Debt is 100% of GDP and rising.

And just think, Mitt-flip wants to add another $5Trillion to it that he has no plan to pay for...including $2Trillion for the military that they haven't asked for.

I'm impressed.
