Would imagine anyone that learns about the world through a TV would know nothing about what is really happening in it. However, when you sacrifice your time, blood and sweat to your nation, in the hopes of instilling those basic values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in other nations oppressed by dictators...you would gain an understanding far superior to anything you could ever read about or watch on the news. My suggestion, since there are apparently SO MANY saints and good citizens around here, get out of this country some time and see for your self what is happening around the world. If you've got the balls to visit ANY Arab nation, I think you may come back a new person.

Ive been telling them this for years...They listen to 850am on the way to and from work, then watch FOX News while eating dinner, then to bed, and repeat. I think thats it for these guys..

If that little puppet Romney got elected last night we'd be hearing war drums today..FOX News would be nothing but the latest made up threat from Iran and in a years time we'd be in a world of shit- just like when George Bush Jr was president..Now 'm looking foward to diplomacy, peace, and maybe some money being invested right here in America for a change..

Those folks that listen to 850am and watch FoxNews more than likely have a strong source of information OUTSIDE those media outlets, like family currently serving...Like my MOTHER Becky, who watched me deploy twice to combat, and relied on such sources like FOX News to report honestly about events pertaining to "War". i.e. Not giving up names to fallen service members families before they are officially notified, or unbiased reporting on why we were there to begin with. We're not war mongers, we don't even like war as much as the next guy. The difference is some are willing to heed the call, and some are only willing to spectate and speculate.
I just wanted to say something about the anonymous name comments. Facebook has so many issues with privacy and people getting fired on something that is 'supposted' to be private. I think it is appropriate for some to stay anonymous if they choose. As you can see on this thread people may not speak their mind on a 'community' site if they don't have anonymity. It may be different for those on other forums that live thousands of miles from each other but the proximity of posters makes this different. I would not want anyone feeling they have to use their real name. There are too many problems with that.
Use this forum if you want, use your real name if you want but don't fault others if they use the board with anonymity.

Personally, I never understood what satisfaction if any, people get from being nasty or snarky. I usually regret it the next day the few times I slip up. It must be fun for some, but I just don't get it. It also helps to just ignore the crap and don't respond, don't give back the satisfaction they are apparently seeking?

LJ, my first quote was making a point that you are posting the same old stuff over and over and it is boring. I don't say those kinds of things to everyone but you deserved it. You did not listen to my original posts and I was doing to you what you are doing to others. I cannot believe how sensitive you are after how you treat others. I did it to make a point. Stating your opinion is one thing mocking them is another.
Second post was me defending my self and some fellow posters. And for you to cry about how you are treated here is ridiculous after how you follow people around and make fun of them and conservatives.
I think what is wanted, and I said it many times, is to ease up. You won the election and to mock those that lost this election and say they are racist scum is just wrong. It is not like 20% feel this way. Obama won by barely 50%. And really Obama started this with his demonizing Republicans with his ads on the rich bad man. You guys ran with it. Fine. But these people are good people. They are your neighbors. Some of them put themselves in harms way by fighting for your country so you could have the freedom to speak and vote for the president you wanted. Emotions are high and you guys rubbed salt in their wound. We tried to appeal to your compassion and was mocked for that too. I just wonder if you have any control over how mean you can get. So, keep all that in mind when you do and say what you do.
All conservatives are not racist white men, I know literally 10s of conservative women (I actually know way more conservative women than men) and those of other races but that is not the point. This is not another acceptable form of discrimination against conservatives. You guys are not after equality, you are after it only if it is on your terms and with who you deem has the right to equality. We gave you stats on that during the election. And before you paint your broad brush assumption that I am.... well whatever. I do not agree with all conservatives. Some use the party to bring in racism. They are not the ones I am talking about. I know very few that do that and the ones that do disgust me. And I believe most of the party feel that way.
So there is my answer and I, at this moment, expect the same old from you but it got pretty bad and everyone knows I will defend my fellow posters in some cases and call them out including my own party when I disagree but what was going on here was wrong. I treated you just like you treated others. It was my last resort.
