I have to agree that calling out a poster for not posting is over the line. For all the OP of that thread knows she could have been injured in an auto accident and unable to post.
"You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright. But we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you; we’ll so weaken your economy until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands."

And us old, out of touch, racist conservatives have no idea whats going on! By the way...I'm Becky's son with the 5 month old boy...from TEXAS!

I have no issue with attacks against me as I have incredibly thick skin. I do typically respond to those in kind, which I admit is childish, but hey why not have fun with it. I particularly enjoy exposing the hypocrisy of posters here who act sanctimonious but are the biggest violators. I can post respectfully when it is called for, but respond in kind to others.
As long as posters continue to use broad brushes to stereotype other posters, nothing will change.
And Printsmith, as long as you continue to accuse others of intellectual dishonesty when you are the worst offender of posting your opinions as facts, your hypocrisy will prevent me from respecting your posts.
Edited to add:
I lost all respect for conservatives in this forum when Bear posted his glee at the violence against Rep. Gifford and his desire for violence and murder against Democrats and no conservatives would condemn his posts.
When he was allowed to skate on that hatred, there is no reason to respect posters who would not condemn that hatred.

To me, the solution is simple: no ad hominem attacks allowed. Debate the issues. But that would require heavy-duty moderating, if posters couldn't follow that rule.

Talk about a broad brush.
How often do you condemn LJ.....just curious.
One more question....How thick skinned would you be using your real name?

You also don't have the courage to post as yourself. Seems to be pretty common from those on one side of the fence.
OK, I'm calling BS on your comment. I just glanced at the member list and I only saw ONE poster posting under their name. So it's not "pretty common for those on one side of the fence," is it?
