Both parents work and file their income tax forms as single head of household with the IRS. Their combined incomes would definitely disqualify them to be classified in the poverty class, but separately they qualify. So they get food stamps, free school lunches, and all sorts of public assistance. And they vote for their entitlements. I would suspect that many of them are members of these forums.

I believe that is a form of slander against some members of this forum with NO PROOF whatsoever. But I suspect Bob will let your posts remain.

It is interesting that here in Bob's World, posts are removed for pointing outright lies and slander while the lies and slander are allowed to stay. For example, one would have to be incredibly stupid to believe that it is possible for two individuals, receiving separate W-2 forms from their respective employers could then combine both W-2 forms in order to file as a single head of household. Or is that such statements were obviously meant to distort the truth and render this thread absolutely worthless? And then those statements are used to slander members of the forum. But here in Bob's World, such distinctions are meaningless as long as they are by conservatives.

Arlen never said in his example that they could combine their W-2 forms together. He said they could each file seperately as head of household if they don't marry. That's how I read it, anyway.

If they live in the same house, I don't think they could legally do that since the head of household has to pay over 1/2 of the household expenses.

But if they maintain seperate homes and each have qualifying dependents, then yes, each could file as head of household.

If they live in the same house, one could file as head of household and the other could file as single and still claim his/her dependents. If that give you an advantage in claiming for food stamps vs. being married and filing a joint return, I'm not certain.

Now, if you are a tax cheat and one of them makes their income under the table (no W-2), then you can make off like a bandit in collecting food stamps so long as the IRS doesn't catch you.

Unless you want to change the laws and protocol on how the President of the United States and the first family are protected, your outrage sounds pretty ridiculous. What a petty little man you are, Obama is the president, he is entitled to all the perks of the job in spite of the fact that he is a democrat and black.

Did it add to the conservation?

probably not....but really, if a poster posts silly stuff that is not what the thread is about, and does it a couple times, I do have to question their ability to distinguish between two totally different genres.

Just because he is entitled doesn't mean he shouldn't set a better example. Tens of millions of people record numbers are struggling to survive on less than $200 worth of food stamps per month and Barack has his choice of twenty different gourmets entered at post inauguration events. Reminds me of Marie Antoinette. Let them eat cake. Schoolkids starving while the POTUS is dining with bankers. I wonder if Barack Sr. would be happy to see his son doing this.

Obama, more than any other POTUS, is a whiny little bitch. Imagine Teddy Roosevelt saying my hands are tied. I can't do anything because of the other party.

He really is a man of inaction.
