The only solace I get is knowing that the lo-fo voters who voted for the bartender are also going to get it up the buttocks right along with the rest of us.
Hot off the Denver ComPost press: Hick ready to show PDA (Public Display of Affection...for those readers in certain parts of Jeffco and Park Co) for new outrageous tax hike.
"He left no doubt about that," said Dan Ritchie, chairman and CEO of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. "I know he has been wrestling with it for some time, talking to a lot of folks and reading and re-reading but he came out very strongly and very positively in support of the reforms and of the necessary taxing to do it."
Colorado's current income tax rate is a flat 4.63 percent for everyone regardless of income. The proposed ballot measure would set a flat-tax rate of 5 percent for all income of less than $75,000 a year. Higher earners would be taxed at a rate of 5 percent for income up to $75,000 annually and 5.9 percent for earnings above that threshold.
"He's willing to take the leadership as I understood him," Ritchie said. "This is not just saying privately, 'I like this' but he is willing to take a leadership position and expects to."
Ummm...I'm thinking he actually DID the dastardly deed in private...C.O.W.A.R.D!!
