which is good for the employees.....the coverage most of them had was a maximum $5000 of health insurance, that wouldn't cover one operation.

AKA a limited liability policy

That will be 20,000 employees who will likely be able to get more coverage for less money, rather than being stuck with what Home Depot was giving them.

But no, they are all about destruction, not construction. The party of NO has brought us to this point and they really have no way out of the mess they themselves created with their refusal to compromise and their blind obedience to an ideology that puts their party policy above their obligation to this country and its people.

The House is representing a majority of the public like me who want this turd flushed before we are stuck with it forever. But even though I want the ACA gone, I know it will only go down under it's own weight... so I would prefer the GOP just let that happen since Obama holds the veto pen anyway. If you think the Dems would allow some sort of compromises on the law itself, you are very naive imo.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

What I am seeing is that the policy offered up to $20K depending on the plan chosen by the employee.

And here again we see the lie that was told over and over by the Democrats as they crammed the legislation through the Congress. Home Depot is no longer offering that option to their employees because the ACA makes such plans illegal. As the cost of the insurance continues to rise, that extra cost will be born by the employee, not Home Depot, because the company will now be providing a stipend to the employee. The employee, and the people who pay income taxes, are the ones that are going to be picking up future cost increases for these employees now thanks to the ACA outlawing the coverage that the company provided in the past. That's right archer, another cost passed onto your children and grandchildren to provide for the individual welfare of someone they have never met instead of the fruits of their efforts going to providing for their own welfare. You must be so proud of the burden you are placing on their shoulders so that you get to feel better.

Since bboth my children support the ACA, and believe that this country is more than "as long as I've got mine I don't care if you get yours" mentality I suspect they are OK with what I am saddling them with. Oh, and the Home Depot employees may well end up paying less and getting more coverage....HORRORS, how dare this be good for someone.

IMHO this is not an issue about the health care industry, Obamacare, etc.......it is a symptom of the massive implosion of the RUST BELT (and not just the failed auto industry). In the last 20 years six congressional seats have moved from the RUST BELT to the upper south......entitlements and other social programs killed the region.......people moved to eat.......simply put. Many are here but they vote and bring their culture with them.

Resist ALL expansion of local clerk corps (fire, police, schools, etc)...they know no bounds....Detroit is just the first of many to follow (Chicago, Cleveland, Cinn.....list is long). Do not let it happen here. Press for tax cuts locally.

Pile it on! Let's give the collective "we" what they voted for! It'll be entertaining to watch the Obamabots freak out when they figure out the ACA did nothing but reduce the quality of medical care they receive and at exponentially higher costs. I look forward to the day that I can say "I told you so."

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Only it hatsn't increased the cost to the consumer, many small businesses, my son's included are seeing reductions in the cost of health insurance for themselves and their employees. My son's costs dropped about 30 percent.....why is that such a bad thing?

And your expectation is that the cost of health care will remain static? Have you read the bill or even done any cursory research on the long term effects of Barrycare?

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

They may end up paying less, but that would be because your children and grandchildren are going to subsidize their costs, meaning they are paying for their own insurance plus helping to pay for the insurance for the Home Depot workers, and the IBM retirees, and the Sears workers, and the Walgreens employees, and the Trader Joe's employees, Time Warner, Duke Energy, the list gets longer every day of companies who are going to stop offering health care as a benefit to their workers and substituting that benefit with a cash stipend to fend for themselves with regards to their health insurance. Isn't this something that the Democrats said wouldn't happen in any large numbers? Seems they were wrong, or lying, about yet another aspect of the (un)Affordable Care Act.
