Otis, I think you have been reading too much republican propaganda, so far the REAL results if Obamacare show reductions in health insurance costs, and healthcare costs are rising at a slower pace. I know that's not what you want to hear, but the fear mongering is being shown to be far off base.

And here is another "unintended" consequence of the (un)Affordable Care Act:

Study: Some Families Could Be Forced to Repay ACA Subsidies

According to a recent study, funded by the California Program on Access to Care at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Public Health, up to 38 percent of families may have to repay some portion of their subsidy due to changes in income.

PrintSmith, I am well aware that you are dead set against anything that involves your money going to help anyone but yourself, so dialog on this issue with you is fruitless.

The first rule of debating Obamabots is don't debate Obamabots; pigs like to wrestle in the mud, the pigs like it, you'll get dirty, and nothing will be resolved.

P.S. - Warren Buffit called Barrycare a turd and said it's time to "wipe" it out and start over. When Barry's wealthiest supporter takes a dump on the bill it might be time to drop it and try again. EITHER WAY, give the people what they want - they deserve nothing less than what they voted for.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I just do not find that a credible. statement. Do you have a link for that?. LOL I expect PS will speak for him self but I seem to recall many posts that suggest to me he is very charitable.

Ready for some good news? The House of Representatives today passed a continuing resolution to fund all of the federal government, except for the (un)Affordable Care Act. A legislative body that actually seeks to adhere to the will of the people in their legislative efforts is truly a breath of fresh air. Only 18% in a recent Rasmussen poll had a very favorable opinion of the law, and over twice that number, 38%, hold a highly unfavorable opinion of it. The majority of likely voters still oppose the law, 53% to 43%; which, as coincidence has it, is spot on with the percentage of the House of Representatives that voted to defund the law today.

Wrong again (or is it still?). And I notice that you have gotten away from dicussing the topic and back into your old habit of attempting to divert the discussion by attacking other posters individually. Is this yet another example of the "common courtesy" you were commenting on the other day?

The first rule of debating with Obamabots... But now I'm repeating myself. Logic and facts don't apply, just bow down to the Messiah, BHO will heal the blind and make them see, heal the sick, lame and lazy and the world will be a better place...

Hold your breath and see what actually happens! I'm predicting a picture that looks more like an overflowing septic tank on a National scale (guess who pays for the clean up? Got a mirror handy?).

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

PrintSmith,When you and others complain that the ACA will cause you to subsidize others health insurance that isn't a desire not to have your money benefit others? What am I missing? I thought you had made yourself pretty clear. That was not a personal attack PrintSmith, just a restatement of what I believe you had expressed in previous posts. Am I wrong? Are you OK with your tax dollars being used to benefit those citizens less fortunate than you?

Nope, I'm not off topic here, the beauty of the ACA is that we are one step closer to providing healthcare to ALL citizens, regardless of their ability to pay. I believe that is what a civilized society does, am I wrong in thinking you do not? I guess Otis calling people Obamabots is your idea of common courtesy.....whereas my restating what I believe you have stated in the past is reason to attack me. If I read your feelings wrong about using tax dolars to help less fortunate citizens obtain medical care....then I apologize.

You and many like you voted for Barrycare, you own it, congratulations on voting in legislation that makes all of us slaves to the IRS. I'd post some information that parallels 1939 Germany and the assention of Hitler into power but there's no point, you and your fellow Obamabots already drank the Kool Aid and nothing will change your minds. Enjoy what you voted for, I look forward to all of you bitching about the consequences of legislation you voted for. Remember, you wanted this.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
