France bans hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19
Reuters | May 27, 2020
PARIS, May 27 (Reuters) - The French government on Wednesday cancelled a decree allowing hospital doctors to administer hydroxychloroquine as a treatment to patients suffering severe forms of COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus.

The announcement comes two days after the World Health Organization said it was pausing a large trial of the malaria drug due to safety concerns.

Been quite amusing seeing folks push this and I wonder... what their own personal motivation? Is it, they have stock? Probably not... Is ' pure sycophancy? Could be? Is it maybe a cult like programming? They have a need to support their dear leader? I do not understand people who have clear science in front of them that this is probably not good and yet go through incredible pretzel like gyrations of logic and fake data to try and show how great hydroxychloroquine. Or last one, they really are starting to understand how bad trump really is and are embarrassed to think that he again is wrong and again is lying and again they have to defend his idiocy......

WHO has suspended this until more data is collected....THEIR assessment is that it's ???? also.

But,what person would take the king's kollective knowledge OVER experts in the field? NOW, the
real piece of information is going to be......WHAT ramifications are waiting in the wings for our "wise"
leader.....it was an informed decision,so I assume we will NEVER here the true tail,unless it becomes
mass critical and the king can no longer perform the presidency.

People with Lupus have been using this for decades. Any medicine is a tradeoff but it appears like Lupus and Malaria patients and doctors are willing to take the risk.
HA, do you think Hydro should be banned? I fear that will hurt Lupus and Malaria patients.

The entire scenario is in reference to the king's"Hunch"that it would work for COVID 19....so what
happened? The drug became harder to acquire for PROVEN EFFECTIVENESS AGAINST LUPUS AND
OTHER CONDITIONS THAT THIS DRUG WAS MEANT FOR. Of course, I am not stating It should be
banned....it has a PROVEN purpose.....but the king, in all if his wisdom, believed ONLY HE knew the
solution....as always, creating chaos and confusion.....and FINALLY the "hunch" was found to be wrong.

OH, BUT THERE WERE MANY who followed the king's every word....sheeple who sought a cure....advice
coming from "a genius" whose guesses on many things.because after all, ONLY HE knows all.

From the AMERICAN JOURNAL OF EPIDEMIOLOGY 27 May 2020 Harvey A. Risch

Hydroxychloroquine+azithromycin has been used as standard-of-care in more than 300,000 older adults with multicomorbidities, with estimated proportion diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmias attributable to the medications 47/100,000 users, of which estimated mortality is <20%, 9/100,000 users, compared to the 10,000 Americans now dying each week. These medications need to be widely available and promoted immediately for physicians to prescribe.

American Journal of Epidemiology, kwaa093, doi.org/10.1093/aje/kwaa093
Published: 27 May 2020

Below are the percentages of doctors prescribing the hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin regimen to COVID-19 patients across the globe:

72% in Spain;
49% in Italy;
41% in Brazil;
39% in Mexico;
28% in France;
23% in the US;
17% in Germany;
16% in Canada;
13% in the UK;
And at four New York hospitals, a recent study found that adding zinc sulfate with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin significantly cuts both the need for intubation and mortality risks by half, researchers said.

LOL

Even as the media panicked the public about covid-19, it never took the pandemic seriously. If it had, the press would have suspended its hatred of the president. Instead, the moment he said hydroxychloroquine may be a game changer, the press opposed this medicine.

Who in the hell hates a medicine?

But this is where we are today.

The press has shown no willingness to give President Trump a centimetre in this crisis. In so doing, the press sides with covid-19. Maybe there is honor among viruses.

The American Journal of Epidemiology is a peer-reviewed journal.

Dr. Risch's article is an accepted manuscript. The AJE published it in the 27 May 2020 issue

I don't know where Nickie Louise,( the author of your citation, in her own words, Nickie is the co-editor for TechStartups.com. I enjoy writing about new and emerging technologies. I also love to write about "underdog" tech startups especially smaller startups that are not covered in major news outlets.)
got her information, you should check her source.
Until then I will believe the AJE and Dr. Risch.

IF he would cease the constant lies and creating confusion (*his forte)....I would be MORE inclined to
cut him slack.....he is NOT what I would want my children/grandchildren to aspire to.....he does not
lead,he deceives.....and the WORLD understands that in spades. BY THE WAY, your source is a blog,
WTH.
